"Phil Evans and Sons took on a difficult painting project - the walls were a dark color with a lot of overpainting. The project was done in a timely, tidy manner with a lot of effort taken to cover up the existing paint. In areas where my husband and I could continue the project (e.g., trim on the tongue and groove walls to cover the paint) he was generous with his experience providing methods to complete the project. One thing I think is really important to bring up is the communication on the project. I had read that it was difficult to find people to do smaller projects and if you did, they did not keep you informed. This was not the case with Phil and his crew (some of which were his family) as they let us know about arrival times each day and delays via text. In my experience with other projects and cities, one does not always know when someone will be showing up. Phil, and his wife Carmen, took the time to connect my dryer vent when it was discovered the existing one had holes and did not connect well. One does not want their new paint ruined by moisture from the dryer! I work from home so they did my office first and were quiet during the day. Noise is not a problem for me but I appreciated the consideration. I will contact him for other home projects in the future!"

FAQs for handyman service projects in Augusta, MT

Winterizing shields your home’s structure and key systems from snow, ice, and freezing temperatures. By sealing drafts and tuning up heaters, you cut energy waste, extend the life of appliances and windows, and avoid surprise repair bills. A small up-front investment keeps rooms cozy and protects the value of your biggest asset all winter long.

Yes, it’s important to prepare your sprinkler system for the winter. Blowing out the lines and insulating above-ground parts keeps valves and pipes from splitting when temperatures drop. A quick winterization visit costs far less than repairing burst components in spring, and it ensures your lawn--and your wallet--stay in good shape once the thaw hits.

A full home winterization plan goes beyond sealing windows and pipes. You might schedule a home energy audit, cover outdoor furniture, service the snowblower, swap smoke-detector batteries, add outlet gaskets, and hang storm doors. Each step beefs up your home’s protection, cuts drafts, and lowers the chance of costly cold-weather damage.
