We had 2 different wood floors on our first floor and upstairs landing , red oak with a clear poly finish and maple with a cherry gel finish that we wanted to have refinished with one unifying stain color. It is extremely difficult to match stain color on two different species of wood to get a close match. He did so beautifully and we could not be more thrilled with the results. Working with him was a pleasure. He is great communicator and a perfectionist. He explained the challenges clearly and the possible solutions and problems so we could we could make an informed decision. He kept us informed during the job and was able to pivot and include another floor in our house with no problem. At the end of it all, I hired another contractor for a second opinion- who addressed piping issues for minimal cost (basically the price of a sweep)."

We liked that Chuck was the one to do the work (along with someone he has been working with for many years). They worked long days to minimize the amount of time we would have to be out of the house. They checked with us after the sanding was done to make sure we still wanted to go with the natural wood since there were some dark spots under the previous stains.
