Comment: I took on some water from a failed toilet supply line in my house. The dining room floor took the brunt of the water, but I had water mitigation team dry and dehumidify immediately for 5 days, they were really happy with the result and think it will sand down nicely with maybe only a plank or two needing replacing. The damage extended only slightly into the living room but both rooms are one continuous 367 square foot original red-oak floor (95 years old) and will need to be sanded and refinished - not sure how dark I want to go with the color yet.. The insurance claim is through Safeco (underwritten by Liberty Mutual).
