"I was not at the house when Philip came to give me the quote, but we talked several times on the phone in great detail about what what he anticipated the job needed and why. He had very comparable prices to other roofers, but he won me over on the phone by going into detail of why he hand nails and how he would redo the chimney and wall flashing.
I scheduled the new roof less than a week out and he and his crew showed up on time. Hand nailing does take longer, but there is less potential for damaging the shingles or nailing into a gap in the decking because there is much more tactile feedback. Also, he always strips off all the felt, since you really don't know what the decking is going to look like until you've seen it. Several companies don't go that extra step if the felt looks good, but there is always the chance of having a bad deck board underneath a seemingly fine strip of felt.
Philip concentrated on the flashing and some of the detail work while the rest of his crew of four guys worked on everything else. They would only work in sections in case the weather turned unexpectedly, that way the home was never in any real danger of water damage. It ended up taking about two and half days to complete, but probably could have been finished in two. At the end of the second day they didn't want to risk having an unfinished section with expected bad weather on the way.
After the roof was done Philip called to give me an update and ask if I had any questions or concerns.
All-in-all I was very pleased with every aspect. I feel like I got quite a bit of extra attention to detail for the same cost as many of the other estimates I'd received. I would not hesitate to recommend Taylor roofing to anyone in the future.
"

"Called budget roofing for an estimate and he came out on the 6th gave me a quote on a repair to my leaking chimney area of my roof. I called and agreed to the price. The work was down 2 days later. He tore out around chimney, removed corner molding, and shingles as needed. He installed water & ice shield underlayment, installed new flashing, and re-roofed the area. He would have provided a close matching shingle but, my husband wanted the shingles he wanted up there so, he bought the ones for the job. This was done when we were having single digit days and had one warm day that the work could be done on. He was very understanding of my husband wanting the shingles he wanted and he did a great job. The work took a bit of time but, he did a really great job I was told by my husband later. Have had no problems since and was given a warranty for the labor as well.

I would use this company with no problems or reservations again. Highly recommend them to all my friends as well.
"

"They were very good. I've got the best price. I like the deal; the siding is good and he gave a lifetime warranty on his personal work thus he will come back and repair anything if you have any problems. He was just personable, on time, he had all the information that I needed with him. It was a pleasant estimate and I felt good after he left."

"I needed repairs to a skylight from squirrel damage, and shingles replaced and a section of gutters repaired from a large tree branch hitting roof. Found Colbalt Roofing on Angie's List and called to get estimate. Set a time to meet David Francis (Cobalt) at my home to discuss repairs. As soon as David got on the roof he mentioned it looked as though the roof had hail damage. I really didn't pay that much attention to his comment as the roof had been replaced within the last 8-10 years and it looked fine to me other than the damaged area from the tree branch and the skylight. He took notes and said he would work up an estimate and get back with me within 24 hours. The next day he sent me a reasonable estimate $375.00 to repair the skylight, repair damaged section of gutter, and replace small section of wood on roof and put down new shingles. We scheduled a time for the repair. He again mentioned that roof looked like it had hail damage and recommended I consider calling my Insurance Company. Although I had doubts I called them. They asked that I hold off on the repairs until they send a claim adjustor. I notified David and he said no problem and stated he would meet the adjustors when they arrived if needed. The insurance claim adjustor came and confirmed there was severe hail and wind damage to the roof. He demonstrated to me on section in the roof where there were lines in the shingles and he grabbed and flipped them up. He also noticed hail damage to the gutters not caused by the tree branch. There were numerous dents in the gutters and downspouts and numerous scratches and dents in the other four skylights that I thought was just normal wear and tear. Because of the extensive damage on the roof the adjustor asked to look at the inside of the house where he found minor damage and water spots on the ceiling in three rooms. Some needed minor repair to the drywall and repainting. All the repair was covered under my policy other than the damage caused by the squirrel, minus the deductible. David at Cobalt Roofing provided an estimate for repairs with like materials (architectural shingles) within the insurance claim estimate. He also offered the opportunity to upgrade the quality of the roof shingles to a shingle called Presidential Shake because of a surplus he had from a previous job that matched the color of our house. Because of the surplus and with the deep discount I was able to obtain the higher quality shingles at the same cost of the architectural shingles. The roofing crew was very professional and did an excellent job. It did take a little longer than anticipated because of bad weather. Every evening the crew did a thorough cleanup before departing. After the roof was completed the painting crew came in and made repairs to the drywall, painted and cleaned up in one day. My wife and I are extremely pleased with the quality of the work performed. We now have the best looking roof in the neighborhood."

"I had used this same company on my previous roofing work and in spite of a few minor difficulties, was very pleased with the result. For this reason I decided to ask Lewis & Son to do this roofing job, which was considerably more involved than the last. This time there were no difficulties associated with the job and I am absolutely enthralled with every aspect of the work done and the final results.
Shane Lewis made an appointment with me for the next morning after I called for an estimate. He arrived on time and came into the house to sit down and find out just what my needs were. I found him to be very personable and during our conversation he made several very helpful suggestions and educated me on several factors I should consider when doing a job of this scope. He then climbed up on the roof, walked over the entire roof examining it and taking measurements. When he had finished the exterior examination, he advised me of his findings and we negotiated a price for the job. We wrote up a contract for the job and I gave him a check for 50% of the job as a down-payment. Had I not known Shane and his company from a prior experience with the company I would have been uncomfortable with this, but my previous experience had shown the company to be reliable and trustworthy. Since we were going to be delayed in starting the job, Shane had his roofing foreman come to our house that same day and make temporary repairs to a leak we had so that our interior ceilings would not suffer further damage.
We were dealing with an unusually wet, cold, and even snowy stretch of weather while we were scheduling the job. Throughout this period, Shane maintained excellent communications with me in order to find a time that would be adequately dry and warm, in which to accomplish the job, and would also be convenient for me. I sincerely appreciated his maintaining such good communications with me throughout this process.
On the appointed day his roofing foreman and crew arrived at 8:00 AM with all their equipment and needed materials. l was pleased to see that the equipment although not new was in an excellent state of repairs. The roofing foreman, Paco, introduced himself and then began directing his crew about where to locate the tools and materials. As this was going on, Shane Lewis showed up and saw that everything was going smoothly. As soon as everything was in place, the crew began the job. They worked until 1:00 PM and then ate lunch on the site. After lunch they worked straight through until it was too dark to see. They made sure the roof was adequately covered in the event of unexpected rain and then left about 6:30 PM after advising me that they would back at 7:30 AM.
The next morning the roofing foreman and crew arrived right on time and began work. They proceeded meticulously and quickly until the job was finished about 5:00 PM. Shane Lewis came by during the late morning to ask me if I was satisfied with the way the job was going and again about 5:00 PM as they were finishing the job. Shane again got up on the roof and personally inspected the work. As the roofing crew finished a couple of odds and ends on the job and cleaned up all the mess that had been made, I went inside and got the final payment check and gave it to Shane. A short time later everyone vanished as quickly as they had shown up the day the job started and not a hint remained that our home had just been reroofed. Their clean-up was extremely thorough and not a scrap remained. I stood out in the road and looked at my new roof feeling very pleased and confident that I could not have found a better company to do the work.

"

"Jerred contacted me and scheduled the work after I made the initial call to him. Arrived promptly and completed the work in a timely manner. The quality of the work is excellent as well as the costs associated with the repairs being very reasonable. We will definitely call on Cantrell Construction again for other repair and building needs.
"

"Our initial call went to voicemail and Mike Beck was prompt to reply and set up an appointment to provide an estimate. He came prepared to perform a thorough inspection of the roof, took measurements and showed us a variety of samples both in small 3x3" squares and in larger examples of about 18x18'.
Mike was very pleasant to deal with, patient and courteous. I was happy that the estimate did not include a pushy sales pitch for extras. Mike is an ardent advocate of the polartec underlayment, but when we advised that we were not interested the sales pitch stopped.
We were pleased with the speed of the crew and the care they took in cleaning up both during and after the job. Mike regularly returned to the job site to check on the progress of the crew and to ask us if everything was going ok. He took before, during and after photos that were provided to us.
We chose the architectural variety of shingles from Tamko's Heritage group and had ridge vents added. We're very pleased with the final look.
We would give a strong referral to this company and especially Mike Beck.
"
