"They built a very nice looking fence.I was happy with their work at first.My problem is they didn't provide an opening for the gas meter reader to access the gas meter.The meter reader had to provide his own.My main complaint is that one of the pickets had to have a notch cut in it to clear a part of the gas meter.When this picket was nailed to the fence part of this notch was contacting the gas meter.When the wood dried and shrank the part of the picket contacting the meter prevented it from moving ant the picket split in the middle about 31\2 ft. from the bottom.If this picket had been installed properly this wouldn't have happened.What concerns me most is their lack of response.I called and talked to the lady that answered that I assumed was mrs Geldmeier and explaned the problem and left my phone number.I waited a month and got no reply so I called again. No one answered this time so I left a message.I feel they should have at least had the courtesy to return my call if only to tell me they didn't stand behind their work.I don't care if they call now or not, I'll fixit my self and know it'sdone right this time. <br />"

"Julio Barletta and company installed our fence in September 1995. Yes, I know this review is kind of late :). I just wanted to add my two cents worth. Twenty four years of hot, baking summer sun; pouring down rain; wind storms; hail storms; and everything else North Central Texas weather can throw at it, this fence still looks brand new. The backyard is on a 15 degree incline. The fence is 8 ft. level top, board on board, clear cedar. Over the courser of time, the fence has been power washed and re-stained 3 times. In Texas, if you don't maintain your fence, you are asking for disaster. People are astounded when I tell them how old it is. Most think I must be mistaken. I tell them when it was installed and then tell them to do the math. Again, I just wanted to add my voice and reaffirm what other reviewers have said. Barletta fences are the gold standard."
