"Beware of contracting with Julio Rivas. He made a decision of redoing some cabinets that I mentioned I only wanted them refaced. He took them out without my permission. WOW! When I approached him about this issue, what he said was, I gave you something better. I said, shouldn't I have been consulted before this was done? I said, how would you feel if I had done that to you without your prior knowledge? That is simply poor business practice. His work is good, yet you have to stay on top of what is being accomplished. He hardly showed up at the time that he stated. I had a handicap partner who cannot get up to open the door and coordination is thus very important. Julio mentioned he would fill in the screw heads where he attached the cabinets to the walls but when I called him about it, he never returned my phone calls and texts. He has poor communication skills and that is not a good business practice. Do your homework and get everything in writing. Look around and get several quotes."

"The first red flag is representing himself as Steve Perez on Angi’s list when in fact his name is Ziv. There’s the hard sell and false promises (finish a kitchen remodel in 5-6 weeks) when it took 4 months. Unprofessionalism is an understatement. He communicates through texting like a teenager and screams at the client when in fact errors are his fault or his sub-contractors. We provided appliance specs very early in the process and the electrician still made errors for which Ziv wanted us to pay for. The cabinets delivered were incomplete which he blamed on us. He demanded a final payment and threatened to put a lean on our house when the work was incomplete per the contract. Then Subs starting calling demanding payment which was resolved after we provided cashed checks to Sonart Construction. Don’t believe what I say. Read the BBB review complaints for a well-deserved F rating."
