"Outstanding!  Dom personally responded with a great estimate in minimal time. Mark did a terrific job by promised deadline. He identified potential problems and fixed them on the spot. As electrician was out of town, I will have him come in as soon as he returns.  Overall, a great professional job!  Recommend Dom's to all. <br />"

"My old unlocked mailbox was beat up by vandals and left on the ground - broken and mis-shapened - and my mail missing! So, I looked up mailboxes in my community and found 'LOCKING MAILBOXES' in Paradise. The owner, James Richards, came out to my home that day to take a look. He then helped me choose the right secure locking curbside mailbox that fit my home and property needs. I bought the Columbia Mailbox with matching post which was $200 plus shipping and an additional installation cost of $50. It took just a few days and he was ready to install my mailbox - and what a difference it made! It improved the curb appeal of my home but more importantly, I felt protected from theft that my mail and packages will be secure, even if I go away for a few days. All the secure mailboxes are reasonably priced and crafted in the USA. Mr. Richards was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and friendly! I would defiantly recommend LOCKING MAILBOXES! It was a pleasure doing business with him!"

"Overall it went well. They were the only company that didn't try to re do my whole house. They listened to what I wanted done, quoted me a legitimate price based on that work and then executed it nicely. Once materials showed up to my house work began shortly after. They made pretty fast progress removing the old siding. I had cleaned all the siding that I removed and to save money on material they were able to reinstall those pieces on the sides of the house. This was tough since the top half was already done. Then they did all new siding for the front and back, to include the soffits and vents. The guy who does the window and door trim was obviously very experienced. He made quick work of custom cutting every piece right there at the house and installed it quickly. My only complaint is that they told me if there were any left over material I could return it to Minot Lumber (where it was ordered from) and get a refund. What actually happened was I brought it back and they credited BSquare Construction who in turn never gave me any money back. I called a few times and was never able to get anything. It was only a little bit of stuff returned so I just let it go after a while. Overall pretty good experience. I would hire this company to do more work on my house. <br />"

FAQs for handyman service projects in Balfour, ND

Winterizing shields your home’s structure and key systems from snow, ice, and freezing temperatures. By sealing drafts and tuning up heaters, you cut energy waste, extend the life of appliances and windows, and avoid surprise repair bills. A small up-front investment keeps rooms cozy and protects the value of your biggest asset all winter long.

Yes, it’s important to prepare your sprinkler system for the winter. Blowing out the lines and insulating above-ground parts keeps valves and pipes from splitting when temperatures drop. A quick winterization visit costs far less than repairing burst components in spring, and it ensures your lawn--and your wallet--stay in good shape once the thaw hits.

A full home winterization plan goes beyond sealing windows and pipes. You might schedule a home energy audit, cover outdoor furniture, service the snowblower, swap smoke-detector batteries, add outlet gaskets, and hang storm doors. Each step beefs up your home’s protection, cuts drafts, and lowers the chance of costly cold-weather damage.
