"I received four quotes to paint the exterior trim of our home. NJM's quote was literally half the price of the highest quote, and one of them said it was too cold to paint outside in December and said we should wait until March when the weather got warmer. NJM didn't have a problem with the cold weather and used Latitude paint. We picked out the color and they purchased the paint for almost half the price it would have cost us to buy it ourselves. NJM were on time, stayed late and got the exterior of a 3500 sq foot home painted in less than a week. The detail they put into the project was amazing. "They didn't have the specialties required for this project. They said they could take down the door and place it on the lawn to work on. Then they would sand the door by hand and then paint with an rust preventative and then with the White paint. None of the suggestions would work. We required SodaBlasting to remove the old paint. Then Powder coat with White coating."

"We hired Goodfellows Painting to paint the exterior (all windows, trim, doors) on a 1930's home that needed some TLC. I was initially very impressed by John and his knowledge of the quirks and care that it takes to work on old houses and windows. He expressed that that was their specialty and they would be able to do a good job and be able to do all the prep work involved with that. However, I was less than impressed by the overall prep work and attention to detail. We had to meet with foreman on multiple separate occasions when they thought they were done, but when walking around the house I identified pieces of trim left unpainted, paint smears in places, shoddy work on the window flashing, etc. We fully recognized that our house was not going to look brand new based on some of the chipping paint, old windows, etc. And overall, they did a decent job. But, based on the 'sales pitch' that John had about their experience working on old houses, I expected much better quality and attention to detail than we got."
