I appreciated how thorough and transparent they were in regards to pricing and timeline of the whole project. Not the cheapest of the contractors I got quotes from but their labor and materials came with warranty and 1 day installation was worth the cost. "John E. Ruth company remodeled our basement bathroom several years ago (about $7000). They completely gutted the old bathroom and rebuilt it from scratch. The work they did was first-rate and the bathroom still looks beautiful. <br /> After superstorm Sandy, we had them come back and install a water-powered backup sump pump as well as cleaning and lining our old sump and replacing the old electric pump. The backup has worked flawlessly on the few occasions when the power was out and it came on. <br /> However, last week, there was a problem with the pipe leading from the main sump pump. Over time and with much use, the coupling worked itself loose. Fortunately, John E. Ruth sent out a plumber, Charlie, within an hour after I called them and he came up with a permanent fix to the problem. <br /> The supervisor (Jim Arnold) agreed that we did not owe them anything for this repair because they had originally installed the backup pump. <br /> Overall, we have been very pleased with the work they have performed and they stood behind their work when it counted. Also, they responded very quickly to our emergency. We would definitely use John E. Ruth plumbing again.  <br />"

That was a week ago and it is expected to take another week or two before the door is installed. Meanwhile, my wife, who is an invalid, has been unable to take a shower."

Ismar and his team tackled everything from demo, tub installation, tile, plumbing, countertop installation, cabinet installation, hardware installation PERFECTLY. Those are some of the hardest working guys I have ever seen. I was impressed daily. Everything turned out amazing, we can’t wait to have them back to do another bathroom. Highly recommend.
