"Called for an electric fan that was not working and was told it needs to be replaced. Not charged for service of checking it. I had an outlet that needed replaced that I had forgotten to mention which he was able to fix while he was there."

"This is the 2nd time I have used Safe Electric and both times I have used them have been great experiences. I had 3 new fixtures installed plus a new circuit run to be used for a new freezer in our finished basement. Jon & Eric were the two electricians that were sent to my home. They worked efficiently and quickly, but did outstanding work. Even though our basement had a finished ceiling, they were able to run a wire through with minimal disruption to the finished ceiling. I had concerns about the alignment of the lights on the fixture (this was a manufacturing defect and nothing to do with their installation) and they obliged me by improving the light alignment. They also cleaned up after they were completed and disposed of the old light fixtures and packaging materials for the new fixtures. Their work was excellent. The only negative aspect was the price which seemed very high to me. The cost for installation of the 3 light fixtures was $462 and the new circuit was $903."

"The work went well and the electricians worked the entire time (about a 4 hour project). There was no goofing off or frequently "checking phones." They did a good job especially with a difficult installation of a new floor outlet in our office. I would hire Waibel again for electrical work."

"I recently hired JM Electric for some electrical work in my home, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. He was incredibly prompt and professional throughout the entire process, delivering outstanding results. Not only did he complete the tasks I requested, but he also took the time to diagnose and resolve an additional electrical problem I hadn’t mentioned. I appreciated that the price quoted was exactly what I was charged, with no hidden fees. I highly recommend his services!"

Small jobs welcome

"Great job! The electrician did exactly what I had asked. I had an overhead light roughed-in for a finished room. He made the smallest a fewest holes possible to run the wiring. This made patching very easy. I will happily use Columbus Breeze Electric again."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Baltimore, OH

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
