"They did a great job. The job was completed faster than expected. They had the locates done. They covered the fence with plastic to prevent concrete splatter on it. The sheilded the air condition compressors with plywood during the concrete pour. Overall I am really happy with them and will be hiring them to do the concrete work for my deck. Thank you Cora Construction!"

"They're good but they take forever to get to your house. If you're a small person and you're not big time potatoes they're not much interested in it. One or two persons came out to do the job. They left the area clean. The service was okay. Once they started it didn't take them that long. If a friend was looking to hire them I would tell them to go for it if they have a lot of money and if they can wait a really long time or forget it otherwise."

"Iâ ve had a few concrete contractors that Iâ ve worked with in the past but my best experience was with experienced concrete. Daryl was a really nice guy easy to talk to. His team was punctual, worked swiftly, and kept me informed every step of the way. I ended up getting stamped concrete pad and changed the color the day of the pour and all the guys were super understanding and even helped me choose the best color! All in all Iâ m super happy with how my patio turned out. If i need any future concrete work these will be the guys i go to, and i also recommend them to anyone looking for an awesome team to get your concrete finished!"

"Patrick helped build my 2,000sqft pole barn and pour the concrete slab which was 40 yards. The concrete turned out absolute perfect. I had zero issues and was stress free with Patrick on the job. My pole barn required some tricky stairs due to the small space. He figured out exactly what to do and built me some beautiful wrap around stairs. I highly recommend Patrick for any job. Excellent communication and a stand up guy. 5 stars."

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Banks, ID

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
