"The estimators that came out reviewed the roof and found a couple spots where they said the shingles needed replacing and where the two had blown off in the wind. Both of the men who came out were afraid of heights. One was afraid to climb the ladder, the other climbed the ladder and was afraid to come back down. He jumped from the upper roof to our sunroom roof. I was truly shocked. I do not believe that is a safe practice at all. As he hit the sunroom roof his momentum almost carried him off that roof. When I questioned him about it, he said he could see where the support was for the roof and he jumped on that. He could have been severely injured and he could have severely damaged the sunroom roof. The actual installers who came out were up and down within 20 minutes and showed me pictures of what they did. The were late, but the job was finished as promised by the date they said it would be. There is a standard fee to just get them to come out to replace the shingles ($595 - I had a coupon to get it to $495). One hundred dollars a shingle. I need to change my career."

"Excellent. They arrived on time; very profession and friendly.. Cleaned a huge pile of pine straw off my roof. Went around the entire roof checking for damage. Did minor repairs on the roof charged me nothing. You don’t see this kind of service much anymore. Said if I do have any more issues they would come back. I truly appreciated the honesty as well. I did not mention about someone came out earlier in week saying my whole roof needed to be replaced because storm damage was everywhere. They were talking thousands of dollars. Thank you again. "Our "only" negative comment about Ground Zero Shelters is that they do not come to a persons residence to give the sales pitch and demonstration. You must go to their showroom or see their product at a home show. This being said, we were extremely happy with the sales experience, reminders and installation of our shelter. They called about 10 days prior to the installation for a reminder, their installers called the day before and the morning of the installation to remind us that they would be at our home at the designated time. They showed up as promised and were completed with the installation in less than 1 1/2 hours time! Thank you Ground Zero!"

"I called Mill Creek Roofing to fix a serious roof leak. They stripped off the old shingles, had to replace 6 (4'x8') sheets of plywood, and installed 30year asphalt shingles. While they were there, I asked him if he could help me out by tearing out  4 rotted T-111 exterior wall panels. No problem he said. Then I showed him a problem I had on my home. Where to roof gutters meet, I had a leak which had resulted in some rotted wood. We made some alterations, replaced the rotted wood. The problem seems to be solved. <br />"

"I also had them for regular pest control on separate contract but they seem to be increasing that quite a bit each year and I wasn't happy with that. There pest control service now is using a device that they plant on the ground, several device around your house and up the canisters, and they put in there some kind of a piece of a wood treated with an insecticide. It supposedly lures termites away from your house in canisters. They eat that wood and die. They don't actually come out and spray anymore. These little canisters are in the ground and gets there every once and a while to check and make sure to see if there are termites or if it needs to be refilled. The annual cost of that is two hundred and seventy dollars and that's after we pay an initial to set them up, and several hundred dollars to have their service. Keep an eye on the cost because we had them for the regular pest control and the initial set up costs are kind of expensive, it seems like we payed, and as I looked back, probably close to a thousand dollars for both of their services: the termite and pest control. I'm a little bit concerned for when they were doing the pesticide pest control because I felt they were kind of excessive with the chemicals and we have a lot of birds around the house, we have pets and they would often park they truck up and lay the hose and just throw at the back and basically just spray everything inside. It wasn't really healthy for our animals or the birds"
