"Everyone told me that home repair companies would likely be taking only big roofing jobs after Hurricane Zeta hit New Orleans and that I might have to wait a month or longer to replace a single missing shingle that blew off during the Category 2 hurricane. While it definitely doesn’t meet the definition of a “big job,” even a single missing shingle can result in potentially significant (not to mention expensive) water damage inside the home the next time it rains. So, we called our go-to home-repair company, One Man and A Toolbox, the Monday after the hurricane. It isn’t often that I leave friends slack-jawed but that’s just what happened when I informed them that One Man and a Toolbox was sending one of their experienced workers (Henry) out to repair our roof the very next day (Tuesday). Henry not only repaired the roof shingle in question but also fixed another errant shingle he spotted while up on our roof. Total cost: $80. We are so grateful to One Man and a Toolbox for their amazing customer service and professional quality work — especially after a hurricane. This company is a class act. If it sounds like I’m a happy (and loyal) customer, you would be absolutely correct."

"Fantastic! Louis and his crew were responsive, attentive, tidy and so very considerate and professional. He custom built sidelights for our French doors and a transom window with stained glass we purchased. Workmanship was top notch and we love our new study!"

"The project went very smoothly from beginning to end. Problems were handled quickly and efficiently. Jason (owner) arrived on time for the estimate, made suggestions when I told him what we wanted, and told us when to expect an estimate (by email). I was very impressed with his knowledge and his manner. He explained everything clearly including the possibility that a handicapped shower we wanted might not fit. I agreed to look at other possibilities.
Estimate arrived on time and, because I was impressed with Jason and how he said the job would be handled, we gave him the job. When they arrived to begin working I explained that I had a very anxious dog that did not like strangers and that I would be leaving her when I left during the day. The crew assured me that they would watch out for dog and make sure she stayed in the house. After being there for a day and watching, I knew they would watch out for the dog. I was also impressed with the clean-up each day. It was great--you would never know they had been there. I had heard horror stories about remodeling but I was so impressed. We didn't even have any dust when the new Sheetrock was installed!
The whole job took three weeks-just what was projected. David did most of it by himself and he did a wonderful job.If he didn't have something he needed he would go get it so no time would be lost. He even had time to do a few added jobs-like installing a new garbage disposal. The enormous molded handicapped shower was installed with lots of maneuvering and effort but it was installed beautifully. Jason called us with any changes to the estimate so that we were not surprised when the final bill came.
This job was handled professionally and the crew was great--David even made friends with my dog! I will definitely use this company again!"
