"Darrin Carpenter and his team did an outstanding and very complete job. Over the course of two days, they installed five helical piers, raised the slab into position, used hydraulics to reposition the exterior brick wall coaxing the bricks as closely as possible to their original position, then tuckpointed the cracks in the brick. They repaired accidental damage to the sprinkler system and graded the soil away from the house, something not even the original builder had done properly. Our brick pattern is very unusual and irreplaceable; the team cleaned and reused the original brick, replacing the most damaged one with an extra found in the soil. We are very happy with the results and with the lifetime transferrable warranty. Darrin tells us that he has never been called back to a job site for warranty work. An estimate from a competitor would have given us only four piers at lower cost, but without any masonry repair which would have been an extra $1,500 using brick that doesn't match the original. We are now ready to replace the exterior stairs and sliding glass door and plan to add a deck so that the masonry repair is less visible."

"Mat removed part of a supporting wall between the living room hallway and kitchen creating a nice open airy feeling. He then removed another wall and closed off a stairwell leading to the basement. Installed a new hardwood floor where the stairs were to enlarge the eating area in the kitchen. I am planning to completely remodel the kitchen in the spring and plan on having Mat do the work."

"CORRECTION TO ANGIE'S LIST: At the time of our jobs Morgans was bonded and insured. <br /> We were about to start construction on a new detached, insulated, heated garage and our concrete guy flaked out. After searching online, going through the phonebook, talking to friends, searching Craigslist, and scouring Angie's List we eventually identified a few companies that were still giving estimates for late fall. We found Morgans on Angie's List and they turned out to have the best price. <br /> Eddie handled estimating and has been my main contact. He is a pro. He voluntarily provided me with their insurance and bonding paperwork at our first meeting. He's polite, punctual, and shows up to work alongside his crew (which includes his son and brother). My only issue was that we played some phone tag around Thanksgiving, which was to be expected. The new walkways and stairs were a last minute request but he squeezed us in so my 6 months pregnant wife had a safe way into our house. <br /> Pricing was excellent on the garage pad and apron. The job required considerably more fill than anticipated, which we paid for, but the final cost was still lower than our other quotes. We paid a premium on the walkways and stairs, but they needed to use a cold weather concrete mix (which is more expensive) and showed up on a 27 degree day in December to do it. I'm sure we would have saved several hundred dollars by combining the jobs instead of waiting until winter to add the walks and steps. <br /> On the job these guys are superb. They keep their music and conversation quiet and get right to work. They're fast and have a quiet flow that obviously comes from working together for a long time. On the garage we used "advanced framing" with 2"x6" studs on 24" centers, 2" XPS insulation under the pad and as a frost break, and a 3 mil vapor barrier. Eddie took good notes when I talked to him and met with my builder and electrician before the pour. Everything was done perfectly to spec and the builder plans to use Morgans on future jobs. The slab and apron took about 2 1/2 days. The walks and steps were done in around 4 hours. <br /> I hope we don't need any more concrete work, but in case we do Morgans will be my first call. Great guys, professional service, fast installation and excellent quality. <br />"

"Dan Molnar tested me shortly after I messaged through Angie's list. Very courteous. Within a few days i had a quote that was better than I had expected. A little over 4 weeks later and everything is done and to a level of quality that honestly exceeded my expectations. The crew who did the concrete were polite and professional, the slab is smooth (they apologized for it not being better- the weather wasn't great but it looks perfect to me) and they cleaned up everything- including excess concrete piles. Their carpenter built custom doors for the previously unfinished and irregular entrance and they are of very good quality down to the hardware. He really cared about getting the job done correctly and went above and beyond by checking on the house before they could start and sending me lots of pictures. He notified us when he discovered additional problems (and solved several without charging extra). They started on time and finished on schedule. Having a wet basement is awful and stressful.
