"I’m very happy with the work of James Electric. I needed to have an EV charger installed. I was able to discuss the project with them (location, model, charger ratings, etc.). They offered opinions, but it was always my decision. I ended up with my Emportia charger mounted exactly where I wanted on the house. In the process, they also cleaned up several ugly circuits in the breaker box. The job was done quickly and efficiently, during some of the coldest weather we’ve experienced this winter. I would definitely recommend James Electric for future electrical work, especially installing EV chargers."

"I thought my ceiling fan was leaking air. Bruton Electric advised not to replace and who to call for the work I needed. It's not an electrical job after all.He was so helpful I will hire in the future if I need it. The guy shared an amazing amount of knowledge with us. Truly never had such a good experience with a free quote. I am going to tell EVERYONE he's the guy to hire!"

"This is the third time I have used Ryan and am happy to wait for his services.  I contracted for this projects months ago but agreed I would be happy to wait until after the holidays.  True to his word, Ryan called yesterday, set up an appointment for 2 pm and was here early.  Installed the door--which is a single he recommended that matches other interior doors plus looks great-- and was on his way.
I understand from other reviews that there are some customers who are perhaps not as flexible as I am. Since nothing I have ever needed him to do was an emergency, I would rather wait for him to squeeze me in with my small jobs as he is such a delight to work with.

"Bottom Line: The guys were great overall and I plan on having them do more work in the future. Highly Recommended Full Details: I selected 3 dates spread over 3-4 weeks when I bought the deal. It took a few days for a response but they were able to make one of my dates work which is a bonus. They did not confirm the appointment the day before so I reached out, but otherwise communication was good. They were about 15-20 minutes late but someone called ahead which is all I ask. I'd recommend you provide details of your job ahead of time so you or they can acquire the fixtures or materials that may be needed. I did, but purchased the a few things that were incorrect (my fault) so Ivan make a quick run to HD to get the correct items. The guys showed up and worked fast. Ivan can literally change and test a socket in 1-2 minutes. They worked hard all day and completed a number of small jobs as well as a couple of more labor intensive projects such as installing cans in the ceiling. He also pointed out some bad work by a previous contractor that could have been dangerous and corrected it for me. The work was high quality and they cleaned up after themselves as well. In addition I didn't feel as if they were slacking or watching the clock ijn any way which is a concern when you pay hourly for a job. In fact, the opposite was true these guys did tons of stuff in the allocated time and I certainly received value for my money. I've hired a number of contractors and had experiences all over the map. These guys are honest, hard working, and provide high quality at reasonable prices."

"We paid a lot bu they were amazing, just outstanding. We had one small problem and they were back immediately and fixed, and they came out again actually to make sure it was good. We were gone and they waited for us to get home to looked at it and check it. It was pricy. You can get back to the and you can find them. We thought it was worth it."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Battle Creek, MI

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
