"<p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p>My garage floor was an eyesore, containing many minor pits, like tiny gouges in the un- painted raw concrete.  The walls, while finished were also unpainted.  </p> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <p>I received an ad in the mail for Magic Garage Cleaners and almost on a whim called the listed number on a Sunday afternoon.  To my surprise, David, one of the owners answered while out walking his dog and we discussed my situation.  He said a part of the solution could be to fill in the gouges with a self-leveling cement (which would add significantly to the cost) and then refinish the floor with a medium grey epoxy sprinkled with tiny silver and black chips to achieve a really nice look, and finally a clear coat of polyurethane to seal it for a permanent finish.  We arranged for him to inspect the garage.</p> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <p>His first reaction was to note that the pitting was more widespread than he realized and in my mind I saw the price going up.  But then he said that the pitting, though a serious eyesore was not a structural problem and the re-cementing was not necessary. He said after they finished with their normal coatings as described above, the pitting would not stand out and the floor would look very good. That opened Pandora’s box, black spots everywhere(!) from the padding I was told. I needed help in a hurry. At a friend’s recommendation, I contacted HHG. James Calvalucci came by the house late in the day on a Saturday and gave me pricing on Sunday. This man has quite the work ethic. Knowing how desperate I was, he was ready to start on Thursday. I had painters in the space and could not accept his generous offer to start so quickly. I waited a couple of weeks and was back in the schedule again. It was worth every second of the wait. The floors turned out fantastic. They received rave reviews from all the potential buyers that came through and I think they sold the house. When they say “dust free” sanding, believe it! Once they were done, there was no dust, nothing out of place, closet doors were put back on, heat registers etc. Their attention to detail is spot on. It was like someone waved a magic wand and pouf – GORGEOUS floors! HHG is busy and rightfully so, but so worth the wait.
