Julio and his crew arrived on time. They worked non-stop until the job was done. I thought it would take them all day. It was done (and looked great!) in the early afternoon. <br />"

"Phil and his team again came through with an amazing job at my house. Had an issue with my chimney causing a leak in my house. One side was tarred for some reason. Every contractor told me you have to knock it down and re-brick if you want the tar off (the water was actually running behind the tar past the flashing causing the leak). One contractor told me my brick was bad and had to re-brick, another told me i had to repoint and re-tar the brick. Phil and his team not only removed the tar off the chimney but repointed the chimney and repaired the cement on the top where the caps are for the fireplace and heat for an amazing price. I will work with no one other than Armstrong Masonry. Phil will be honest with you and tell you exactly what needs to be done and not bang you over the head. Being able to trust your contractor goes a long way! Thank you Phil again for an amazing job! I wish I can post photos to show the before and after."

"Shawn and his workers are top notch. I had an old brick patio covered with cement. The job came out great but it rained the night the cement was poured and damaged the cement. She showed up and gave us a one hour free consultation, helping us choose flooring and tiles for the bathroom - they came out so elegant, I wouldnâ t have picked anything remotely close as beautiful! Shelly really brought on a valuable addition to our bathroom renovation project - her great taste - on top of her teamâ s excellent craft, all the finishing touches and all done within reasonable amount of time! We also were quoted for a flat fee, all materials and labor included. But in the end we had asked Shellyâ s team to complete a few additional tasks, such as putting on door knobs and installing a ceiling fan, adding a towel bar and framing small tiles around a cabinet - she didnâ t even charge us for an extra day of work!! "In the middle of winter and just before selling my house, a land survey revealed that my driveway and a retaining wall were encroaching on my neighbor’s property. I had to make arrangements for the driveway to be corrected as a condition of the sale. I found Alto Contracting on Angie’s List and checked their reviews. There were over 100 glowing and very detailed reviews, so I called and left a message. Within minutes, Mr Rick Ribeiro returned my call and I explained my problem. He was very pleasant and wanted to see the driveway, but there was almost 18” of snow. I emailed him close-up pictures (before the snow) and the survey, so he could see exactly what was needed, and fortunately, he agreed to review the information and send me a quote. Meanwhile, my prospective buyers insisted on getting several other quotes. I called several other masonry and paving contractors, and some were closed for the season, while others returned my call, asked for the pictures (as no one could actually look under that snow) , promised quotes, but never even got back to me, even with repeated calls. Meanwhile, Rick, (Alto Contracting) responded only two days after I emailed him with an itemized quote, including NYS sales tax. The quote was a bit higher than expected, but very fair, once I saw the scope of work that was required. After weeks of calling other companies, my buyers managed to obtain a single quote with no details and no mention of any work included it tax, just an outrageous number more than triple what Alto Contracting had quoted. We all agreed that Alto Contracting was the company for us. I sent a deposit and hired them. As soon as weather permitted, they arranged to come, and completed the job exactly as specified, and left the workspace neat and clean. They also honored their original quote, without finding additional items to add in; this was something that was mentioned in a number of their stellar reviews, and which I am very happy to corroborate. Their work looked very good on every driveway that i saw. I contacted the business and response time was very good. I spoke w Lou and he was upfront, honest and very nice.
