"Robin stopped by in response to my earlier review to discuss it. Very cordial and professional encounter. He explained that this was the first "concrete brightening" job that failed. We were both at a loss to explain exactly why. He suggested that a concrete sealer might have contributed to the failure. I replied that I didn't apply any such sealer, but previous owners might have. We'll never know for sure. I must say, however, that Robin, based on this visit, is totally focused on customer satisfaction. He even offered to redo the work at no charge or to return my money, both of which I politely declined as unnecessary. Way to go Robin! Original Review: Robin cold-called us (front door knock) saying that he was in neighborhood, and offered to power wash our concrete driveway and concrete walkway. I advised him that I just did all that at the beginning of April with my own power washer. He acknowledged this, and said he would brighten everything up to match front door concrete pad, which was definitely lighter in appearance than the driveway and walkway. I said OK, go for it. let's see how it goes. Robin and his assistant pre-treated all concrete surfaces with some type of liquid (a cleaner I suspect), then used a rotating head scrubber, then a hand wand washer, over all surfaces. Now that all surfaces are entirely dry, I must honestly report that the washing effort failed to achieve Robin's brightness matching assertion. Based on my subjective observations, surface brightness only improved marginally, and definitely not to the level of the front door stoop. My conclusion is that Robin was overconfident in the performance of his equipment and pre-treatment. All that said, Robin was nevertheless extremely professional and cordial, and suspect that anyone needing "normal" power washing services to remove moss, dirt, stains, etc would be very happy with him overall."
