"A+ review for William and the KeyPrime team! About a year ago, we purchased a historic house that was in need of several major repairs. The roof was over 20 years old and had not been done properly before, which had caused the wood soffits, eves, and fascias to rot. Squirrels and bats had started getting in through the rotted wood, and the gutters were falling off the house. We interviewed a lot of companies and received numerous bids. It was a complex project, and we wanted it done well + affordably (a difficult combination to achieve). We also needed all the work to conform to the historic register requirements and be approved by the historic preservation committee. When William came out and discussed the project, we were immediately impressed. He demonstrated a deep understanding of the intricacies that the project would involve, and was able to explain things to us simply and clearly. He was patient and took the time to answer all our questions, so that we understood all our options and felt comfortable with the proposal. He also helped us to make informed decisions about where to cut costs in order to keep the project within our budget, as well as where it was worth it to spend the money and not cut corners. The project itself went very smoothly. Everyone on the team was friendly, and they worked very efficiently. A few times when questions or concerns came up, I called William and they were addressed immediately. One of our big worries when we started the project was that a company was going to come in with a low bid and then raise the price with “surprises” once the project started. William was very up front with the pricing, and let us know what would happen if they uncovered anything unexpected after the roof was opened up. Thankfully, no surprises were found, and we were billed the exact amount that we were initially quoted! A few small unexpected things even came up during the project that they could have easily “nickel and dimed” us for, but they just took care of them without any additional charges. The new roof, soffits, eves, fascia, and gutters that KeyPrime installed look great, and we are extremely happy! They did a great job restoring the beauty to our historic house. Our experience with KeyPrime was exceptional from start to finish, and we look forward to working with them again on future projects."

"We needed a minor roof repair- flashing needed to be nailed down and I spent all day yesterday calling around and begging handymen and roofing contractors to come over and take a look, no luck at all. Either all were booked out until next Spring or the job was not worth their time and effort to come out. I called Buck with Eagle Siding headquartered in Burnsville and he offered to come out within the hour and take care of the repair. WOW, just wow...he came out, nailed the sucker down and made additional minor repairs as well. His charge was very fair for a simple job, but I would not hesitate to refer them or call them back if we had siding or roofing issues in the future. His is a family business -- his son will be the third generation. I recommend Harry highly and would certainly hire him again. Edit: I have called on Harry for cedar shake roof repairs twice within the span of a few weeks, because after the first repair, we had a storm that caused additional damage. And the storm hit just before the closing of the sale of my house. Harry came out promptly and told me it is too bad all the damage did not happen at once so that he could have fixed it all in one go and save me money. His team proceeded to make the repairs, which took a few hours, and at end of the day handed me an invoice that was reasonable and did not take advantage of the time constraint I faced to get the roof repaired. "After dealing with ice dams on our previous home, we did some research and decided that we would like to invest in a metal roof when we moved into our new home. We moved this summer and knew at our inspection that the house had previous ice dam damage and a very old asphalt roof. We got three quotes, and Kaufman was in line with the other companies, however a tad more expensive. We went with Kaufman due to the excellent reviews and were not disappointed. The crew that installed the roof was incredible. They were extremely proficient and hard-working. The time they spent detailing out each and every cut was extremely evident, and the end result looks incredible. Gutters came a few weeks later, and that crew also did a wonderful job. When it comes to metal roofing, the process was a bit murky for us as it's not super common and not something we've dealt with before. A couple things we learned to keep in mind: 1. Be very detailed in reading each line of your estimate. There were a couple errors on ours that were easily corrected, but definitely something you want to feel secure about before signing the dotted line. 2. Take care in selecting the metal color for your roof, and do some extra digging. There was a lot of self-driven discovery on the metal fabricators website, and the web preview isn't 100% accurate to the color we see in real life. We're only a few months in, but we are very pleased with this roof and our gutters. It's definitely an investment, but our hope is that this is our roof for life. It looks great, and more importantly, it seems to be a sound and secure product. We would definitely recommend Kaufman, without hesitation."
