Small jobs welcome

"Brandon gave us an excellent quote. He is reliable & completed the work on time. He did a beautiful job and we are so happy with his work. He works with his father and they did a good job cleaning up after the job was finished. They were very polite and respectful of our property and I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone who needs concrete work done. I would absolutely hire them again. "

"Trevor and his crew had come and scoped the job giving us an estimate. After we agreed they were chosen to the work, we were given a starting date. The crew showed up on time and worked for two and a half days to prepare the area for the patio extension and build a beautiful retaining wall for the area that set back into the hill. The stairs to the front door were replaced with newly constructed rebar and structural elements that will last for many more years than the original stair that only lasted 24 years. The new stairs now match the full width of the front porch which now looks much more symmetrical. The pad leading up to the stairs was enlarged and lengthened. They came back on the third day and the concrete was poured and finished. When they finished the work they made sure they cleaned up the job site and left everything as it was before. Trevor and his crew did an excellent job and we are so happy with how the job turned out and we highly recommend them for any work you may need completed."

"We went to Omnipro for our patio and retaining wall. Greg was super helpful and very easy to talk to! It was nice seeing all the different blocks and pavers before making our purchase. I highly recommend you stop in and get your project started! My backyard looks amazing now!"

"14 piers were installed and the addition was jacked back into place. They jacked multiple piers at one time. The cracks that had opened up between the addition and the rest of the house were completely or substantially closed. The addition was returned to level. The addition was lifted up to two inches. EFS delivered more than than they promised on the lift. They were able to work next to a deck that was about 6 feet away without removing the deck. One small disappointment was with the back filling after the lifting was complete. The addition is constructed with insulated concrete forms (PolySteel) with a brick ledge that extends out from the side of the wall. There is a drain pipe connected to the down spouts that rests under the brick ledge. The back fill was not sufficiently placed and compacted under and behind the pipe. The ground next to the addition later sank two to three inches after a heavy rain when the voids around the pipe were filled by wet soil. Overall I would grade the job as an A- because of the back filling."

"Mike Isbir is great to deal with.  He listened to what I had in mind and made various suggestions to meet my needs. After the initial drawing, I wanted a few changes which he made with no problem. Since it was summertime, Mike admitted his schedule was pretty full, plus the fence had to be special ordered, so he was realistic about when the work could actually be done which I appreciated. Once the work was scheduled, Mike and his crew arrived timely and he introduced me to everyone. He then took the time to walk through the placement of everything with me and make markings that the crew could follow. Before he left the site, he ensured that I didn't have any further questions.  His crew completed the work as agreed and everything looked great. If I have any further landscaping needs, I will use Mike Isibr again. <br />"

"This was our second project with Anthony. The first project involved replacing steel lintels above 2 French doors and chimney repointing. The second project was a complete rebuild of a second-story deck. The deck structure was failing so Anthony saved the roof structure and removed the rest of the deck. This was a very challenging process. He built new support posts and attached a new composite deck floor with vinyl railings. He replaced the roof shingles with a very cool black metal roof with a light aluminum under roof. We loved working with Anthony on this project. He is very professional with written estimates and explained every step of the process. He handled all communications with the code inspector. We will definitely have Anthony come back for future projects."

"We have a small sloping woods behind the house with an old irregular stone patio that was crumbling and unusable. Prestige put in a Versa-Lok retaining wall and base layers and reused the slate for the surface and a proper drainage system. They also rerocked two pathways leading down to the patio. Resealed our driveway. Difficult project because they could not get any motorized equipment down into the woods. They did an amazing job. The patio is better than anything we could have imagined. They did a great job on the driveway. We have used them before on hardscaping and driveway work, always with outstanding results. The guys show up on time, work very hard, and clean up afterwards. It is a busy company and even if it requires a little extra work to get on their calendar, it is worth it."

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Belle Vernon, PA

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
