"The whole process was surprisingly smooth and we were very happy with the results. I called Rebecca at Alabaster Staging and she came to look at the townhouse the next day. After that walk-through, taking photos, she got back to me to provide a firm quote (which leaves the furnishings in place for 30 days) and a basic written description of the types of furniture and accessories she was planning to put in each room. I made a few suggestions, which she took into account. She provided a contract which I signed. I provided payment at this point. Her crew delivered the furniture and Rebecca arranged it over the course of two days (an hour or two each day), to meet our deadline. She stayed in good communication throughout. She also gave me a helpful recommendation about paint color. The townhouse looked beautiful with her tasteful furnishings, which included not only furniture but also table settings, paintings on the walls, etc. There was color and interest without anything gaudy or otherwise overdone. I had spoken with two other stagers, and Alabaster's was by far the most reasonable quote. <br />"

There are identical units on the market that have not received any offers including one that is staged but unattractively so. "I first contacted Doug by phone and set up a date to meet at my place by email. Doug was very responsive to all of my email requests.  He set up an appointment within a week of contact and promptly showed up at my place to take a look at my idea and assess the situation.  He spent over an hour out in the rain taking careful measurements.  He was wonderfully polite and professional and caught on to my ideas quickly.  His wife and kids came to pick him up at the end of this appointment and we had a delightful time talking!  Doug then got down to work on my drawings and sent me the first round within a week.  I had several suggested changes so I sent these ideas back to him.  This time he had the changes incorporated within just a couple of days.  He gave me a projected date of about 3 weeks by which time he would send me a CD of the official drawings.  He met with me a few days <em>before</em> the projected date and brought me the CD.  He then began contacting General Contractors for me to come and bid the project.  It is about a month later now and I have received quotes from 3 contractors.  I will be sending Doug a request for a couple of changes to the drawings which I am sure he will accomplish in not time based on his previous track record.  Overall, Doug was fun and wonderful to work with and I would highly recommend his services to friends and family! <br />"

We needed guidance on our list of updates for our 20 yo old home and feel Edie has helped us get on a track where we will be able to sell our home more quickly and easily. <br />"

"I had a couple of lengthy phone conversations with Mary before she even came to our home. She really tried to get a good idea of our needs before we met.  Mary brought her piano template, which was very helpful in trying out different possibilities for piano placement.  We have a built in bookshelf that we planned to have reconstructed to fit  our TV. Mary had a great suggestion for reconfiguring the shelves to make them look less "busy."  <br /> Mary was able to look beyond the boxes from our move and see the bigger picture. She was very helpful in making suggestions about simple things that would improve the look of our bathroom, including purchasing a larger mirror. She made size suggestions for new  baseboards, which was very helpful.  <br /> It took some time to implement the suggestions which Mary made,  but we have been very happy with the direction she gave us. <br /> The couple of hours for consultation was well worth it. <br />"
