"I would give a 4.5 if I could. I inherently don't trust companies with only 5 stars so let me slip this in as a 4. Jorge (owner) and Deisy (office) were pretty on top for communication. It was sometimes difficult to get ahold of one or the other the same day, but they would get back to me the day after. Walter was a fast worker and preferred to be left to work when we asked questions. The side light wasn't installed correctly but that was easy enough to fix on our own. We had a solid insulated patio installed. Workmanship was a solid 4.5 on the patio. They did what they needed to do, though some of the minor details were messy. We were worried about water damage so some leftover patio material was used as makeshift flashing at no extra cost, which was nice, but it was also installed mildly unevenly. Cuts on the house rafters (that would be hidden) weren't straight, and we ended up going back over the exposed sections with a 2nd layer of paint and filling in holes with wood putty on our own for peace of mind. There were a few spots where the rain gutter shield's glue wasn't fully applied. City and HOA approval took a few months though Jorge and Deisy handled it just fine for an extra fee. Overall not the cheapest option of the bids we got, but the one that felt like they would do good job of it with good materials and experience, and not grief us with shoddy work or extra problems. There were no delays once permits were done and work started. No major complaints with the patio so far. I would go with this company again, but I would take extra care that the minor details and concerns are covered so everyone's on the same page."

"Jeff Goldman is to home patios as Pavarotti is to opera. He is an artist that is unique in this industry. In need of a new deck, I called three different contractors. One never returned my call. One came out and showed me what I considered to be inferior materials for the project. The last contractor to come out was Jeff. Not only was he on time, but he came prepared. Samples of nearly component that go into a patio cover. Prices. Ideas: originally, we were going to just replace the deck. But Jeff suggested another way to go, that would in effect increase the utility of the downstairs patio. Great idea. And great execution, now that it is built. Jeff?s crew is polite, and they leave a clean worksite at the end of the day. Jeff is involved in every stage of the process, and we had a final ?walk-through inspection? prior to final payment. "The patio cover was installed without any major hiccups. It was installed as designed. The pricing was very competitive. However, the installer made some minor mistakes. When these mistakes were brought to the attention of the company owner, the mistakes were corrected and a courtesy refund issued for any inconveniences caused. I would use PatioCrew again and recommend them to friends and colleagues.

"To begin with they came out and we discussed what was to be done and how it was to be done.  Then they brought out the samples - hundreds and hundreds of different types of patterns for the canvas awning.  Plus the steel frame can be powder coated to really tie in the frame and the awning with the house.  Finally, you can choose from various valances if you want.  Then the crew actually welding the structure came out to make final measurements and calculations.  Once everything was ready, they came out (on time) and installed it all......and it looks wonderful.
My advice is to have a good idea of what you want - material, powder coat color, etc., before they come out, or you may not be able to make a decision.  
Because of the size of my project - a 7' x 41' section connected to a 9' x 20' section the total process took about 3 months.  But given the size of the project and all the work involved, I found this to be quite reasonable.  A smaller project would very likely take far less time.
