"He used the best hardware in the cabinet that could be obtained which is what I wanted. His carpentry work on the shelves was exceptional. The only issue I had at all was that I thought I had contracted with him to do a staining, the inside and outside. He did not stain the inside but there may have been a miscommunication. I am not sure that I can fully blame him for that."

"Inspected my property quickly, explaining everything, and submitted his bid professionally. Of particular note, he treated me, as a woman and the primary contact person for this job, with utmost respect, never trying to make me feel as if I "didn't understand" or needed to have a man by my side, explaining things. His behavior and professionalism was in marked contrast to at least one other contractor with whom I spoke to and interviewed. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we have not yet been able to finalize the choice of contractor for this work, but THIS contractor is definitely in the running! He offered to explain anything in his proposal in more detailed, if I needed it, and was unfailingly polite! <br />"

"Wallace construction came to my door after seeing shingles missing on my roof. Unlike the fly by night contractors that typically do this approach, Denise was very friendly, had a logo shirt and truck and was very professional. They helped us with our insurance adjuster to pay for a good portion of the new roof when I didn't even realize it was a possibility. They offered great communication which to me is key. Everything was accomplished in a timely and professional manner. Our new roof looks great and definitely improved our curb appeal. Will use for future projects, and I even have a few in mind."

"They offered me a senior discount, and a warranty. They were a little more costly, there was a $1000 difference. They were good and reasonable. There cost were in the same ballpark. They did charge more for my roof incline. They charged more for a water seal and the company that did it, gave it to me for free. They did come out and I was able to talk to them. I think they were very good. I think they were good to work with. He came out and explained things to me. If I needed contract work I would contact them."

"As always, this was an excellent experience. Linda's work is of exceptional quality. She is a partner with us in whatever project she is working on. Our biggest project was a 7-room renovation of our 100+ year old home. We have Linda's custom cabinets in our kitchen and an exquisite built-in breakfront in our dining room. Her attention to detail and recommendations for big and small aspects of the job are evident throughout the final product, which we love. We recommend Linda Fudge without reservation and would not undertake work in our home without her involvement."

"Overall they did a very good job and were very professional. They were much better than most other computer services I have tried including national based services who charge an arm and a leg. Tried that once will never do it again. I found out that they also do data cabling and electrical work also. Those are some area I will definitely use them for in the future. <br />"

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Bentonville, IN

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
