Once onsite, Carlos and his colleague knew exactly what to do and how to run the new electric circuit across the house from the electrical panel to the garage. The installed the EV charger we had purchased separately exactly how we wanted it. Everything worked perfectly. They even went the extra mile to come back and patch the garage drywall where they had made a few holes to run the cable even though it was not included in the job initially. "I had hired an electrician in the past to replace an outside electrical box and was surprised to learn that the industry average for any home visit was a flat $300.  When I saw the Angie's List special $99 for $200 worth of work, I jumped on this great deal.  I only had two minor issues to resolve...I had recently replaced the light bulbs on the front porch lights and with a couple weeks one stopped working, I assumed there was a loose wire.  The tech removed the fixture and determined the connections were good and only needed to replace the bulbs.  And I had a light switch in the kitchen that was not working, the tech replaced the switch.  When the work was complete the tech told me that I exceeded the $200 worth of work and his flat fee for the work performed was $279, plus $5 for the switch.  I ended up paying an additional $84 for this deal.

UPDATE - 2/4/2015 - They did come to my home and provided an estimate and plan for lighting our back yard and deck. 6 lights were included in our original purchased deal. Their proposal was for the original 6 lights plus another $1500 worth of lighting. I like their plan but we weren't prepared to spend the additional money at this time. They came out yesterday and installed just the initial 6 lights. They arrived on time and the work they did is wonderful. Our deck is beautifully lit now and I am very happy. While this relationship got off to a rocky start, they made it right and we will hire them again when we're ready to finish the back yard lighting. Also - the deal was supposed to be for the front of the house - but that wasn't clear when I bought the deal - so they allowed us to use our 6 lights on the deck. I'm sure they want the front so that they can show off their work - and that makes sense to me - as their work is worth showing off. I would now highly recommend this company."

Jason explained why some equipment differed from the contract (provided part fit better into existing duct work). Jason noted that the internal components were the same. My wife and I purchased a mid priced unit. The price below reflects an approximate cost. The sales representative (Randy) wanted us to decide relatively quickly noting that now was a slower time for their crews. Working with Scott, Randy adjusted the quote. We had already received one other quote (liked the rep there) so we knew the Rescue Rooter proposal was competitive (even if we did not get truly a break). Our existing system was failing so we wanted to move forward. Jason and Alex explained what needed to be done to maintain the system and how to work the new thermostat.
