"I cannot say enough about the great service provided by Meredith Home Improvement to resolve our roof issue. I worked with Cameron from the initial consultation until the completion of the work. Cameron inspected the entire roof, took photos, and identified the recurring leaks were caused by the aluminum ridge vent installed when the house was built. He advised this type of ridge vent is rigid with multiple sections that can pull apart due to wind, rain and the house settling. Cameron recommended that replacing the existing ridge vent with one made of fiberglass would provide a permanent solution. I found the cost to replace and install the new ridge vent very reasonable, especially since I had previously paid another roofer $500 to caulk the ridge vent on two separate occasions, but continued to have leak issues. Cameron was knowledgeable, respectful, courteous, and patient; he answered all of my questions and concerns. Even though the weather was horrible, Cameron and his boss worked to get the new ridge vent installed as soon as they were able to get on the roof safely. "Only disappointment was they thought the shingles on the lower back where skylights were being were the same color as the roof and they are not. So it is mix match shingles with the skylight replacement. They did not tell me until they finished. A bit disappointed for 5k and have mix match shingles,other than that...Great service, Great job !!"

"During a day when everyone in Pittsburgh was having a leak, they were the only ones to call me back. They came that afternoon to stop the leak and rip out the small area of dry wall. They replaced missing shingles and re-nailed and sealed the existing shingles to make sure they would not come loose again. The cost was very reasonable. "We used Penn West Roofing & Repair to get "some repairs" done on our roof. After heavy rain for past several days, one particular spot in the ceiling had a wet stain forming. Since my roof was pretty new, I was concerned with a roofing company which will steer me towards roof replacement just to make money as roofing companies in general don't have much experience with diagnosing a leak and also they make less money by doing repairs and fixing a specific leak so they opt for roof replacement instead. I did some research before contacting a roofing company and left message for Antonio one evening. I got a call back from Antonio from Penn West Roofing & Repair around 10pm same evening. A call back that late in night was surprising to me as I wasn't expecting a call back at all due to the middle of busy rainy season. We talked about for half an hour, and right there and then I realize that this guys is not going to rip me off or up-sell me or up-charge me for anything. I also realized that he would try his best to identify the leak and fix it rather than pushing me to replace my roof. Now, let me tell you very clearly, that what I thought would be a few hundred dollars worth of expense for a teeny-tiny roof leak repair, ended up much higher; in order of magnitude higher... as I ended up replacing the entire roof...I ended up replacing, not just the shingles but the wood beneath the shingles...I ended up relacing the fascia and soffit around the house...and I ended up replacing gutters, gutter guards and downspouts..In essence, I have "experience" of having Antonio doing a small repair for me as well as getting the entire roof done. And at no point in time, Antonio pushed me to make any of these decisions and at no point in time, he wanted me to go ahead with the next phase of the "little roofing project". If I had wanted to just get the initial roof leak fixed, I would have done just that, and that would be the end of story!!! I have found Antonio, an extremely hard working individual who is honest, and very professional in his business dealings and communications. His work ethic is phenomenal. His penchant for quality control is striking. His knowledge of roofing ins & outs; his ability to diagnose a leak; his eye for investigative and detective work in order to assess the true damage, and his obsession to satisfy a customer is simply unheard of in an industry that is a breeding ground for swindlers, cheats, and fraudsters.
