"I couldn't have asked for a better experience. They were hired to replace the main electrical panel/breakers at my elderly mother's home. Roni, the electrician, was a wonderful communicator, and was very knowledgeable and thorough in completing the job and in putting her at ease. The price was very reasonable. I will be using Nasr Electric in my own home, as well as recommending them to all my friends and family in the DMV area."

Small jobs welcome

"10/10 recommend. I hired him to move a light fixture to the center of my office and he changed the fixture. He walked me through everything as he was working. We ran into some minor hiccups but was able to solve it. He explained different scenarios when moving my light fixture to the center of the room and even encouraged me to do some research on some things. I plan to hire him again for future electrical work. "Job well done- professional and more competitively priced than a more well known name. I trusted what they recommended and did not feel that it was all about making money. I had a new electrical box installed as well as updated the house and installed the exterior shut off. Well done and highly recommend. "

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Bethesda, MD

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
