Extra work that wasn t quoted in his estimate... and didn t charge for it. High quality work and I received more than I was quoted which never happens. He was super friendly and explained everything he did and how it would make a difference. Can t say enough good things about my experience. "Where do I even begin telling you about Tony and the wonderful work he does, the attention to detail, the cleanliness, the "going beyond the call" mentality? We had a water mark showing up on our family room ceiling that was gradually getting bigger and darker. With two bathrooms on the second floor right above the damage we were pretty sure what the problem was. We really didn't know of any contractors that would do this "small" of a job so I went searching. Stumbled across Midwest Remodel and Handyman in my search, saw some good reviews and that's when we were fortunate enough to have met Tony! He came right out and assessed the damage and within a day gave me a fair quote and an estimate of when he would be able to do the work. Hired!!! Then, before he even started this job for us, my mailbox post decided to crap out on us and was almost leaning in to the street. I called Tony just to see if by chance he could fix it for me. Again...he came right out and took care of the problem for me! Unbelievable! When the time came to actually do the work I initially hired him for, he was prompt, diligent, efficient, he cleans up after himself literally every day before he leaves, and I have to say that watching Tony and his helper Brandon work together is entertaining, to say the least! What a couple of great guys with a great sense of humor! And when all was said and done, he stuck to his quote, no overcharging and the work was impeccable. But here is a testimony to the true character of these guys...in the midst of all the repair work going on, my wife had a medical emergency. I had to go pick her up from work and leave her car in the parking lot where she left it as she was unable to drive. On day two of her hospitalization, these guys offered to take me to go get my wife's car so it didn't have to sit in the parking lot any longer. They did not have to do that but that's the kind of guys they are and I was incredibly grateful! Class act all the way! Best of all, we now have someone that we can trust and rely on to do things around the house for us that we just don't have the talent or skills to do ourselves! What a relief!!! We already have more things for him to do! This guy is so good, it didn't take long for our neighbors to catch on...he's doing work for them now too!"

"We had hired Jeremy a couple years ago for a bathroom shower repair so did not hesitate again to contact him when we had a leaking pipe under our kitchen sink and leaky faucet above. He and his wife provided lots of useful information and suggested getting the needed parts under warranty for the faucet instead of the additional cost of replacing it. He does what's best for the customer and didn't just automatically suggest the most expensive thing like replacing the faucet. In the end, we went ahead with a replacement because the faucet was out of warranty so for the investment it made sense to replace. He suggested a brand for us that would have a lifetime warranty and explained the quality of their products. Again, to me, this shows his concern, honesty and integrity regarding his work and customer's best interest. With our kitchen setup containing a corner sink placement in addition to the original builder or prior DIY work of the disposal and pipe location and setup, the repair of the leaky pipe under the sink was not the most convenient and comfortable work for him. He still took the needed time and did the job thoroughly and completely making sure to explain what he was going to do and what had happened to cause the leak in the pipe in the first place. He found a 2nd leaky pipe just behind the wall when testing the first part of the job and fixed that as well. He and his assistant were very thorough, conscientious, pleasant and cleaned up tremendously when they were done. I highly recommend The Handy Guy."

"The service was excellent! They arrived to pick up the vehicle a day earlier which was great. They delivered the vehicle right to my daughter's door and found a side street to unload. The service was delivered within the time frame given. All of my questions were answered via phone or email and the paperwork was seamless and the price was very reasonable."

"Earlier this year, a different contractor installed an egress window well and cover. I was very unhappy with the height of the well and finishing details on the cover. An unfinished board was screwed directly to the siding and the cover was mounted to the board. Original contractor was not really interested in making it right. The only way to make it right was a total re-do. Ivan with A&H Home Improvement looked at it and provided a very fair and reasonable estimate to correct the original installation. He was able to schedule this job within a few weeks. The job involved completely digging out the well, replacing one section of siding, mounting a pvc board to the foundation slightly above the well, and mounting the cover to the pvc board. I am 1,000% (yes really 1,000% not just 100%) satisfied with the end result. Ivan was able to use the same well and cover so the cost of this project was basically labor and a few components (pvc board, screws, bolts). The end result is EXACTLY how I imagined it should look. I am very pleased and would definitely call A&H Home Improvement again for home repairs or future projects."

"I had a bedroom window that needed to be boarded due to be broken.  There was a major winter storm coming later that day, and I wanted to make sure the window was protected from the snow.  I called them at 9AM, got a call right back, and was told someone would come out that day.  I had someone here by 3 PM.  Due to the urgency of the issue, I was very pleased to get a quick response, and service the same day I called.   They worked in a blizzard, cold, and dar, but got the job done!  They were very professional and pleasant!  The window is protected enough to get me through the winter-to have it replaced in the spring. <br />"
