"This company responded promptly (within a week) to a request to bid a small landscaping job. They showed up on time for the bid appointment. He had helpful suggestions for the work, and left to prepare a written bid. The bid was received within a few days by email; it was higher than other services that were also bidding so they were not selected for the job."

"It was okay, I wasn't exactly pleased with it. I had these rubber palettes on my back stairs and they heat up in the winter. The only gripe I had  was that the guys threw them aside and didn't do anything with them. They just left them lying there. Someone had to put them back on the stairs and I am not sure they are working as good as they were. My deck was looking pretty sleazy, and I didn't know if it needed a patch. It was expensive, but I knew it was going to be expensive. They did do a good job, but there were a few minor details that they didn't do. The price was acceptable."

"I was a little hesitant ordering stone veneer for my kitchen through the internet.  Mark at Stoneyard was excellent, sent me samples and help me decide which stone to use. Due to cabinet specifications and width restictions in my kitchen, we spent several weeks back and forth on options and dealers to get me thin stone.  Mark was very patient and professional the entire time. He  ordered all my stone through a 3rd party.  The actual stone took over 5 weeks from delivery, but I was kept in the loop the entire time.  It was delivered right to my door. This is not a simple process of running to the store to grab stone, and definitely worth the wait. I used a mixture of Boston Blend and Colonial Tan, both ledger and ashlar. <br />"

"Hired them to clear my back yard down to the dirt, build a pond, add some elevations, paths, trees, shrubs, replace lawn, put in drain pipes below ground to improve water drainage etc. I had requested several times a particular treatment for the area surrounding the pond and never did get it. They insisted in putting in gravel with rocks of various sizes not the patio type flat pavers I wanted for edging. I had them come back in 2008 to dig the pond deeper and again try to get the surrounds corrected. No luck. Pond depth was fine but surrounds was pretty much the same. The trees and bushes all died (trees were root bound and wrapped within the tubs when tubs were removed and were planted that way.) The rock around the pond began settling after the first year and there was shifting in some of the stones making it unsafe to walk close to the pond edge I had also requested a path from the deck to the beginning of the garden area but was 'talked out of it'. It was like they had a view of how they wanted it and I just wasn't listened to. I subsequently hired another contractor to redo the pond, replace undergound drainage pipes that had been crushed by Green Acres equipment on the second go around, and replace trees and shrubs. It has been two years and the new work has held up beautifully and is exactly what I wanted. I believe that GA has the capacity and capability to have done the work as I wanted it but for some reason I was at the bottom of the list for attention and materials. The crews were great and friendly and Jon was very friendly. He simply didn't respond to my requests but kept indicating that it could be done differently. The other company just said "tell us what you want and we will do it and if you don't like it we will tear it out and do it again until you do like it." And I did at one point have the crew rip out some rock (including glued pieces) because the compaction had not been done properly by the crew. Crew chief never blinked when I told him, agreed with me and had it ripped out and redone. They even replaced the underground pipe (when we found it had been crusted) as a freebie. Oh, and they put down plywood on my lawn so it wasn't torn up by the equipment like it had been done by the prior contractor."

"Extremely professional and attentive to our wishes. We went over budget for the things that we wanted, but they worked with us and we were able to get everything done with a very reasonable price. The work that was done was top quality, and on schedule. I have only good things to say. Very easy to work with and they made everything easy to understand. <br />"

"HE was professional, friendly, polite and just fabulous! I had called a plumber friend of a friend and they were going to charge me $150 from leaving their shop to returning, just for an estimate and repairs, I could not buy my own parts and there was a one hour minimum. I said no thank you. I called Butch, he was helpful and perfect. I am going to use him for everything!!!!!!!!! My husband is not a handy man at all and I can feel overwhelmed by my 40yr old log home~ I finally feel like I can start getting stuff fixed! He was honest and quick and cleaned up too! And he was sweet to my daughter! His add says "They think they know everything?so call them?" Im a believer! A good handy man can save your life, or at least make it so much easier! <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Big Lake, AK

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
