And we feel we could not have asked for a better installation or experience. "From initial review for estimate, Adam was superb in educating me and answering all of my questions. More importantly, treated me with utmost respect as a woman engaging this project. I was sold on Universal being a certified CertainTeed product installer. It is a superior product than what is sold in general big box stores such as Home Depot. Day of 2 layers of old shingles removal, inspector Abe showed me the sins of others. The base wood was circa 1938, and needed to go. Not unexpected however they worked with me to arrange a loan to support the extra work estimate. As well my chimney was sadly in need of professional pointing beyond the shoddy patch jobs done by prior owners. I was assigned a project manager Ben, that kept all the work moving at pace as outlined. The workers were all responsible and respectful of me and my plants and property. "The crew arrived in early morning. They removed multiple layers of shingles and had to replace a good amount of bad wood underneath. The chimney also was re-pointed. They had the new roof on before dark. Two days later a different crew installed the new gutters. I had two minor complaints and an early morning crew arrived the next day to fix them. One complaint was not even in scope but I asked them to fix some dislodged siding (existing damage) while they were up there and they did."
