"Edged in Stone did a great job from start to finish. Preston has very good ideas on how to make you yard look great. Our house was in the Parade of homes, he had a very short amount of time to finish the job before the Parade started and he was able to get it done. We had them sod part of the yard and hydroseed the rest, both turned out perfect. We had problems with the sprinkler system but they were very quick to fix the problems. Edged in Stone was not the cheapest bid we got but we definatly think you get what you pay for with this company, you get the best of everything. Highly recomended!"

"It went very well. They showed up on time and had plenty of workers to do the job fast and efficient! The lawn is watered great! We were very pleased. They even called and checked on us to make sure everything was to our satisfaction and even dropped by a thank-you card. I would definitely recommend them if you are looking for sprinkler or landscape work/"

"Newt did an excellent job. He showed up on time and was well prepared to complete the job before company arrived for the 4th of July. Newt is professional and I will definitely use his services again. He had the fairest price compared to the other bids. He was straight forward and honest in his quote. When an additional cost arose, he contacted me before completing the work. <br />"

"Overall it was a very positive experience.  the teams were very professional as was the work.  The entire project took about 3 weeks with major dirt removal and placement of the ponds, waterfalls and patio areas.  It is a pleasure to now enjoy our beautiful back yard.  the outback team worked with us through the entire project and made several recommendations that enhanced the entire project."

"When no other company could get the work done for us on such short notice, Scott found a place for us in his schedule.  All aspects of the job went off like clock work.  Large cranes were needed because of the limited access to our pool which is on a hillside - no problem.   I especially appreciate the expertise Scott used in hiring very experienced workers, who showed up, got the job done and moved on.  I mean really - isn't that what we are all looking for - Someone who will do what they said they would do - when they said they would do it - at the price they said they would do it at.  Scott was easy to work with and even negotiated extras on our behalf. "

FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Blackfoot, ID

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
