"I debated whether or not to attempt repair, as I could have purchased a new lamp for about the same amount as the labor alone. However, my ailing lamp was much more expensive and I liked the design, so I decided to go for repair. My lamp works beautifully now, in fact it works better than before: when new, use of the dimmer caused an irritating hum; now the hum is gone. (Original retailer said "they all do this.") Thanks, Mohn."

"Scott Dunn is an exceptional problem-solver! He figured out how to do a tricky laundry room remodel with a minimum of destruction and a maximum of proficiency. Very prompt and efficient. Well worth the cost. Highly recommended!"

"This was kind of a random project - removal of two very large mirrors in our bathroom. I had trouble finding someone willing to come out for a relatively small but difficult project, but when I called Jeff he responded very quickly and was willing to take it on. He was prompt, professional, and very reasonably priced. I have recommended him to friends already and will definitely be calling him for future projects!"

"Honey-Doers staff was awesome to work with. They had everything so scheduled, that our project moved along quickly and our lives were not too disrupted. Everyday, they cleaned up their mess, so that our house didn't look like we had a major remodeling project going on. Afterwards, we were left with two amazing, spa-like bathrooms. Shelly was so great on the front end guiding us through what we needed to do for our selections, and Dan was so responsive during the remodeling with our questions. The rest of the workers were so kind and hard working. We would use them again and would highly recommend them!!"

"Accidentally stumbled across Fan Man Lighting in Burnsville today when looking for a replacement ceilng fan lighting kit. I walked in expecting to spend $40 for just the light kit, but was AMAZED by the selection and the prices...nearly everything on sale, and a huge selection. We found the lighting collection that we have in our eating area - we don't like the globes on it, and Jason (the owner) helped us pick out replacements. We found the sconces in that same collection - the ones we have now look dated even though they are fairly new, but they had other sconce options in the collection so we could replace them. And even though we'd settled for a different light fixture for the dining room at our local Home Depot, we found a much nicer one for the same price at Fan Man Lighting. <br /> The fixture we bought and one sconce weren't in stock so rather than make us wait for a week to get them, he took the displays down and sent us home with those. One was broken when we got home, but they replaced it the next day. <br /> Great customer service and it somehow felt better to give the local business our money rather than order things from the internet. <br /> Great experience! <br /> <br />"

"What should have taken less than a day stretched into two weeks. There were mismeasurements, mis-cuts and miscommunication. Although, when it was all said and done, the countertops look fabulous. The installer was careful to make sure patterns lined up, seams were all but invisible, and on-site cuts were accurate. If you can look past the chaos of the process and focus on the long term results you'll probably be happy using this company."

FAQs for swimming pool remodeling projects in Bloomington, MN

You can modernize your pool by adding features like underwater LED lighting, mosaic tiles, or a beach entry for easy access. Incorporating amenities like fire pits, waterfalls, or installing energy-efficient equipment can also give your pool a contemporary upgrade.

To make your pool more energy-efficient, consider resurfacing it with a lighter color to reduce heating needs and evaporation. Installing a variable-speed pump can significantly lower energy consumption. Switching to low-energy LED lights not only saves power but also enhances ambiance. Additionally, updating old plumbing pipes can improve efficiency and reduce water loss.

A pool remodel typically takes between four and eight weeks to complete. The exact duration depends on factors such as the size of your pool, the complexity of the renovations, and the availability of materials and contractors. Planning ahead and coordinating with a professional pool remodeler can help ensure your project stays on schedule.

Remodeling your pool can be a worthwhile investment, especially if you plan to sell your home. A pool remodel can increase your property's value and enhance its appeal to potential buyers. Upgrades like modern finishes, energy-efficient systems, and added features like lighting or fountains can transform an outdated pool into a backyard oasis.

Resurfacing a pool involves applying a new finish to the existing surface to address cosmetic issues and minor structural concerns. Replastering is a more extensive process that replaces a deeper layer of the pool's structural base, impacting both stability and appearance. After replastering, you can choose from various finishes to enhance the design and longevity of your pool.
