"Victor was able to complete the job and it is beautiful and made all the difference in the house. The family moved in Saturday night are settled and registering their children for school today. If it wasn't for victor this wouldn't have happened. I know the next time I need flooring I don't have to look because I know who to call. I suggest that if anyone reasons this needs this service call victor and he will get the job done for you. Thank you Victor"

"This was my first time hiring a cleaning/maid service, so I was not entirely sure what to expect, but I was hopeful. Prior to agreeing to their services, I asked the supervisor about insurance, liability, a contract for services, refund policy, and etc. I was informed by him that he did not have any of those things, except for his business insurance. I still opted to use his services, but I thought it was strange. When bidding out other maid service providers, they were able to offer me those assurances. I have a 2800 square feet home, but as it is newly built, it is not fully furnished. I asked for the downstairs baseboards and chair rails to be cleaned. I wanted the downstairs floor to be swept/vacuumed and mopped. I asked for general dusting/polishing of furniture and cleaning mirrors and windows in the family room. I wanted the kitchen cleaned and the guest bathroom tub cleaned. Lastly, I wanted my master bathroom cleaned and the master bedroom furniture dusted and polished. The companys first impression was not great. After agreeing to the service, I realized I had not been given a time for the maids to arrive. I contacted the supervisor, who suggested a start time of 9 a.m. However, on the date of service, the maid arrived 15 minutes late. Had she been another five minutes late, I would have called to cancel the service. When I contacted the owner about the late start, he stated that his time was a suggested start time, but not guaranteed. Ironically, the maid informed me that her supervisor had given her the wrong zip code, so she went to the wrong address. Secondarily, prior to agreeing to the service, I had been informed by the manager that I would have two maids for my cleaning appointment. However, on the date of service, only one was sent. I asked the maid who showed up about her being the only one sent to this job. She informed that she expected to have someone helping her, but that the supervisor must have forgotten. The one maid was at my home for five hours and near the end, was visibly tired and sweating. While she asked me to check her work, I could tell that she was not physically up for having to redo things. Another concern that come up early on was the fact that the maid did not appear to have the high end cleaning products and supplies that the supervisor informed me about. The maid did not have floor cleaner for my luxury vinyl tile, she did not have cleaner for stainless steel appliances, or even quality cleaning tools and the bottle of off-brand Windex she had was almost used up. The mop used on my floor was one of those inexpensive sponge mops that you would expect to find at a Dollar Tree or Dollar Store. At one point, I really wanted to offer the maid my own cleaning supplies and products, but I felt that they are supposed to have these things. In the end, I did provide stainless steel cleaner for my kitchen, paper towels for cleaning mirrors and windows, and toilet freshening items for the master bathroom. When I brought this matter up to the supervisor, he stated that they had those items, but that the maid must have left them before coming to my home. Despite all of my concerns being texted to the supervisor, during the service call, all he did was give excuses for my lackluster service experience. He did not offer me a discount to ease my dissatisfaction or offer to send another maid to help. In the end, I paid the bill and even tipped the maid. While the service was not great, she was really nice and I felt bad that her supervisor clearly did not set her up for success. The maid was willing to do the work, but she had been given the wrong address, sent to do the job by herself, and given sub par cleaning supplies. I would not re-hire White Glove Treatment, LLC nor would I recommend them to someone else."

"I thought the estimate was a bit off as he wanted 70% up front. I thought that was a little too much for materials for that and I was always told not to put that much up front when you get work done. That seemed like an awful lot to me, that's why I rejected it.

He delayed me a few times when he said he would show up to do the estimate. The final estimate was not what I would consider, the amount was in the area of the other contractors, but the up front percent was off.  Never meeting him in person, his diagram, and all that I would say a B on professionalism."

FAQs for wood flooring refinish projects in Bluffton, GA

Rental sanders can address moderate surface damage, but their effectiveness depends on scratch depth and overall floor condition. Drum sanders offer the most aggressive removal capability for deeper imperfections. However, if the damage extends into the wood structure or affects large portions of the floor, board replacement by an expert might be necessary before sanding. Consult a flooring professional for help.

Always thoroughly review the manufacturer's operating instructions before starting. Wear appropriate safety gear, including goggles to protect your eyes and a respirator to prevent inhalation of dust. Inspect electrical components before each use to prevent shock hazards. Keep children and pets away from the work area, and maintain a clean space by frequently vacuuming dust accumulation to prevent slipping and to ensure you can see well.

Sandpaper requirements depend on floor size, condition, and the sanding approach. Plan to use multiple grit levels (coarse, medium, and fine) with at least one to two sheets per 100 square feet for each grit. Floors with significant damage or multiple finish layers will require more coarse-grit sheets. Purchase extra supplies before beginning because running out mid-project can cause visible inconsistencies in the final result.
