"After talking to David about installing a very large 23 inch doggie door in a door with a top glass portion (we had already bought the doggie door) he was very knowledgeable and was able to give a immediate quote. I had already shopped around this area for quotes and found his to be right on the mark for a professional installation. He called the day of installation to confirm we were ready and had a guy over within the hour. Very happy with the outcome! David even called to confirm after work was completed to make sure we were happy with the the outcome. Will certainly use him for other projects I have in the future."

FAQs for doors (exterior) installation and replacement projects in Booneville, AR

Modern steel doors incorporate protective coatings and finishes that significantly reduce rust potential. These treatments create effective moisture barriers when properly maintained. Small scratches or damage should be promptly addressed with touch-up paint to prevent moisture from reaching the underlying metal.

Doors in coastal or high-humidity environments benefit from additional protective measures and more frequent inspection. With proper care, most steel doors resist corrosion for decades.

Steel doors provide superior resistance against forced entry attempts compared to fiberglass alternatives. The inherent strength of steel creates a formidable barrier that resists impacts and tampering more effectively than composite materials.

While high-quality fiberglass doors offer reasonable security, steel provides an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and structural integrity. For maximum protection, look for steel doors with reinforced strike plates and multi-point locking systems.

Most manufacturers provide warranties covering manufacturing defects for periods ranging from five to 15 years, depending on the product line and quality tier. Hardware components often carry separate warranty coverage, often for shorter durations. Installation services may include workmanship guarantees covering proper fitting and operation. Always review warranty documentation carefully to understand coverage limitations and maintenance requirements that might affect warranty validity.

Provided your existing wood frame remains structurally sound and properly aligned, professional installers can often adapt a steel door to fit. The process requires careful measurement and potentially minor modifications to accommodate the new door's specifications. The frame must provide adequate support for the heavier steel door construction. A qualified installer will evaluate your current frame's condition and recommend appropriate adjustments to ensure proper function and security.
