"Rich and his crew did excellent work which included creating a aged face to the concrete that allowed it to better match up to the existing 50 year old patio. Rich listened to what our needs by installing pipe under the border of the new patio so that we could continue to easily route water to our planting beds. As promised the crew came back out the day after the pour was completed to inspect their work and clean up around the perimeter of the pour. Nice job that we'll appreciate for decades to come:-)"

A couple small issues: communication was challenging at times because it was hard to know when the crew was going to actually arrive at our house to work, and they mistakenly dug up the wrong part of our lawn due to a miscommunication; quality-wise, a thin crack appeared on part of the concrete patio after a few months. "I was really impressed by Bruce and Keith (finisher and foreman). Bruce rearranged his schedule to give me a bid since we live on the Olympic Peninsula. We had a lot of weather delays due to snow and rain but at the earliest opportunity Keith and his team got the prep and pour done in two work days. It was a technically difficult job with the location of an existing catch basin but the work was done with great attention to detail. In my experience they always kept their word and responded promptly. Their team was fast and clean and the quality of this job raised the appearance of the entire property. If you have to wait a little to get on their schedule there is a good reason for it....they are worth it."

"It went great, in fact better than we were expecting! Sam came out to our home exactly when he said he would be there and gave us an estimate that was in line with other estimates we had received. He was very thorough in explaining all the steps they would take to ensure we got a great product and answered all the questions we had. The crew arrived the following Monday to start the work; the workers were personable, knew exactly what they were doing and asked questions to make sure the project was exactly as we requested. Very hard workers, finished that afternoon and left the site clean and neat. All the debris was removed and disposed of. It was a very unstressful experience and we would DEFINITELY hire Island Concrete again if we require further work in the future. He had to take direction from multiple parties and get 4-5yds of mulch into a tricky close quarters, hilly portion of land in South Seattle. They cleaned up the dirt that was inevitably tracked onto our front porch before leaving, too. Highly recommended, will use Groview for yard maintenance in the future!"
