The crew did a very thorough job removing the old and damaged mortarwork, and since they used a power washer as well as rock hammers the basement was quite a lot cleaner when they left than when they started. The worked quickly, cleaned up thoroughly, found and fixed more than expected, and completed ahead of schedule and on budget."

After removal of the old deck wood, it was determined that further reinforcement would be needed in order to do this job properly. Therefore, original estimate had to be adjusted quite a bit, to account for the extra labor needed to perform the reinforcement. Alex and his team completed the job in about three weeks, with most of the days in cold weather. Several payments were provided throughout the project and there were no hidden costs, they were very upfront in terms of what needed to be done, and were transparent throughout the process. "Peter and his co-worker were prompt and professional.  They were patient with changes I requested during the job.  They swept up the basement where they cut lumber and woodwork, and the upstairs before they left.  I'm very happy  with the new coat closet and the cubbies, and also with the various repairs made, especially the floors.
A note: they offered to do their wood cutting outside, to avoid a mess, but it was cold (February), so I offered to let them use the basement instead.
