"Had a clogged sink and reached out to several companies on a Sunday afternoon. YC Plumbing LLC called first, right away. Danny was professional, courteous, and knew what the problem may be right away. I set up an appointment and his guys came out and took care of the issue without any problems. Will use them again if needed."

"I feel like I was price gouged because I was a woman without knowledge regarding plumbing. I paid over $800 for the gentleman to change a cracked pvc pipe and change the tank/flap on the toilet. First the guy told me $1395. After my neighbor came over and told me to call the company that service my irrigation system he called the office and it went from $1395 to $813. I took pictures what was fixed showed another professional and was told it shouldn't have cost me more than a couple hundred dollars. The gentleman was pleasant but most con artist are. The work was done very quickly. It took maybe an hour to complete the job. $800 an hour I'm clearly in the wrong line of business..."

"I called Tom after several unsuccessful attempts to contact Riverview Plumbing in regards to a hotwater heater I had installed in 2013 by them. Approx. one month ago My wife and I started noticing black particles in all our hotwater lines. After a Public Utilities inspection cleared the outside water lines of any issues I knew the problem originated inside; most likely starting with the hotwater heater. After a close inspection of the water lines connected to the heater, Tom discovered that the hotwater flexline used by Riverview Plumbing was not sufficient for the hotwater side. The line was insulated with a black coating or rubber that tends to break down from the hotwater and treatments used in the water. Instead, Tom replaced both lines with Copper and the problem with black particles in my water has been solved.
Tom seems to be very knowledgeable in the Plumbing field. I plan on using him again in the near future to install a Whirlpool water softner and wholehouse filteration system. If you want you plumbing done right, I recommend you call Thomas Flynn Plumbing...

FAQs for drain clog or blockage clearing projects in Bowling Green, FL

Snaking a simple clog near a tub, toilet, or sink often takes about five minutes. Deeper blockages along the main line can stretch the job to a few hours because the pro must feed extra cable and may need a camera to confirm the pipe is clear. Either way, specialized tools help pros work quickly and keep your drains running for the long haul.

Aggressive snaking can scratch pipes, push debris deeper, or even crack older lines. That risk is low with an experienced plumber who matches the cable size to the pipe and eases the snake through bends instead of forcing it. If you’re unsure of your technique—or your pipes are already fragile—calling a licensed pro is the safest, and often cheapest, move.

Start with simple barriers: mesh screens on every tub, shower, and sink keep hair, food bits, and jewelry out of the pipes. Skip harsh chemicals; a monthly flush with hot (not boiling) water clears light buildup without damaging plastic lines. Finally, practice smart disposal—no grease, wipes, or kitty litter down the drain—and schedule routine cleanings if you have older plumbing.

Roto‑Rooter typically charges a flat $160 to $450 for standard snaking, which may include a quick sewer inspection and basic clean‑out. Exact pricing depends on the clog’s location and complexity. Repairs or part replacements fall outside that flat fee, so ask for a line‑item estimate if your tech spots broken pipe sections or recommends additional work.

Most liquid cleaners rely on caustic chemicals that eat through hair and grime—but they also erode metal and even some plastics over time. Repeated use strips protective pipe coatings and can leave you with leaks or premature failures. If hot water or a plunger doesn’t help, call a plumber for mechanical removal instead of pouring more chemicals down the line.
