"Sod went in well and so did planting and mulching. Loam and overseeding was spotty. One area was done well and came in nicely but the bulk of the seeding was very light and patchy. Putting the same amount of seed consistently across all the new loam would have made for a much better end result. The new loam with minimal seed now just looks like larger patches than when we started the project. Also the mulch delivery truck left three large light color scrape marks in my new driveway. Accidents happen but no one acknowledged and/or apologized. Contacted Elder about looking at the seeding issue and he said he would stop by to which he no showed. Tried to contact a couple more times and he just ignored me. He seems like a good enough guy but depending on your project YMMV. For the money spent, I would not recommend to someone else."

"We called Jan's fence because they installed a privacy fence for one of our neighbors. That fence was beautifully installed and mounted rock-solid into the ground. So we called Mariusz at Jan's Fence for an estimate. We needed privacy fences on both sides of our unit's rear patio area. Jan's crew is so skilled that they finished both fences in under two hours! When I asked how they could do it so quickly, Mariusz grinned and replied "Years of experience." He and the crew anchored the fences into concrete that's poured underground. So the anchors are invisible. They're also so strong that the fences didn't need to be bolted to our unit's external wall. (That can be a real advantage in a condo community.) We've never experienced a contractor who is so responsive and precise in their pricing, scheduling, arrival and work... which is superb. You simply can't go wrong with them."

"I received quotes for three different options - the cedar fence, an alternative in vinyl, and a repair of the broken fence. The sales guy was very easy to get hold of and provided the quotes promptly. I went with the cedar and it was installed in two days. For some reason, the old fence posts had been sunk in concrete, and all the concrete had to be removed. The yard was cleaned up both days, and the fence came out really nice. <br> <br>18 months later, the fence still looks good."

They planted three arborvitaes, made a walkway with pavers, installed a granite step, and covered the rest of the area with landscape cloth and gravel. It looks so nice!!!"

"Completed a fairly major basement renovation with KBA a few months ago. KBA served as the general contractor, and was responsible for subcontracting specialty (e.g., pluming and electrical) work. Scope of work included demolition and removal of a substantial part of an outdated basement, new electrical and lighting, new flooring, ceiling, and walls, interior painting, restoration of staircase, and total renovation of a basement bathroom, including addition of a new shower, as well as handling all permitting and inspection (code) requirements. Although there were a few minor hangups and delays, as can be expected with any big project, we were very happy with both the timeline and the outcome. The quality of the work was great, and the professionalism of all staff was outstanding. This was a large project that we were hesitant to move forward with at first, but once we started working with KBA, everything went pretty smoothly. Very good experience overall and would recommend to others."

When he measured the distance it was a little less than I had told him since we decided not to have the fence go into the woods. He gave us a written estimate on the spot and we gave him a deposit.
