"It went very well! Lewis Services is prompt and professional. They take pride in their work and do a wonderful job! We have used other lawn companies before to mow for us and they would come when they felt like it, whether the grass needed to be mowed or not. "I have a large wooded lot that needed substantial service - some trees taken down and others trimmed. I met with four tree services and chose Care of Trees. They were not the least expensive. Another service quoted $1,000 less, in fact. I chose Care of Trees for several reasons: they were responsive in scheduling the initial consultation. They have certified arborists. My arborist, Steve, was knowledgeable and took his time. I was provided with a detailed quote (printed out) on the spot. Steve followed up about a week later, and he worked with me a bit on the price as well. The service itself was excellent. Dave, Kevin, and Wayne were professional, clearly safety-minded, and cleared all the debris. And as if that wasn't enough, as they took down a tree, they found a nest of woodpecker eggs in a hollow log. They carefully relocated it and tied the log/nest to a nearby tree in the hopes that the mama might return! Outstanding from start to finish."

"It’s been almost one year now, and I’m overdue in writing this review for Ground Effects. First of all, I’d like to say that the entire experience was really seamless and painless. Once we decided on what we wanted Mary, Josh and the crew got busy. The patio took several days to install and Josh and his crew worked really hard and did everything right. No pavers were laid before the foundation was really good and solid, and I mean solid. They were also able to replace some bricks and fix my front porch steps, which were installed poorly in the beginning when our house was first built. Josh made it look much better. I’d also note that they were able to go the extra mile for us, and fix an asphalt depression near the garage where it bordered the patio. But they didn’t just fix one spot. They corrected the entire problem in front of our garage and did a really good job. Overall, we love the patio! Everyone who sees it comments on how wonderful it is even, Amazon and UPS. Our friends and family whom I had described this project to before construction have all said that it came out much better than they expected or imagined. It has transformed the front of our house, we spend a lot of time on it now in the mornings and evenings and we are thrilled. We couldn’t recommend Ground Effects more highly, they were wonderful and if we ever have another Patio job I know who to call now. Thanks so much."

"This wasn’t as good as I thought it would be. I had to call them too many times to schedule it and they didn’t come when they said they would come. There were extra fees that I wasn’t aware of. It wasn’t the greatest.   When I called they said they’ll get back to me and I let them know the time I wanted it done. If they call me on Monday or Tuesday and I said when can you come out, can you come out Wednesday or Thursday maybe they came Friday. I stayed around the house thinking they were going to call or thinking they were going to come back at a certain time. It’s just wasn’t timely.  I remembered them saying they’ll be back the next day and I press them for time a time because they weren’t sure of other jobs they would do. And I said ok give me some idea and they didn’t call me back the next day, they showed up the following day. I just came home and saw that they were here.  It took them two visits to do what I wanted them to do. When they got here and I explained what I wanted to have done, we talk on the phone about it they said they had to see it and when they got out here they tell me the price I paid was hardly anything. The whole reason they were to come out was to cut down this bush in front and clean up the yard and they did not have the bush included at all. When he looked at the bush he said the bush was deal and I said yea I know, I’d like for you to remove it. The yard is a very small yard. It’s a town yard in an inner unit with somebody either side of me and there is a side walk in my yard. So I didn’t have much to start with. The key to it is the communication, taking and their availability. It’s ok if you tell me I can’t come today and you’ll be here tomorrow between such and such time.  Don’t keep me hanging. I was disappointed because we were emailing back and forth for date and time. They should be more transparent about what they can and cannot do and the price."

"The backyard of our home sloped towards the house, creating a negative grade. We called Turf Center on the recommendation of a family member to give us an estimate. Mary Ellen came out to assess our situation. The job ended up being much more extensive than we had anticipated due to a few factors that our home inspector and even our contractor (who we like very much) had overlooked, but Mary Ellen caught. Grading couldn't be performed under the deck without removing part of it, so we opted to remove the entire thing. Additionally there was a hidden basement window under the deck that we hadn't even noticed ourselves. Turf Center took care of this for us, including removing and bricking-in the basement window to allow for proper placement of a vent there. We also had them remove a huge section of asphalt to allow for proper grading. One of the bigger expenses was having them dig out the entire foundation and water-proof it, but we felt this was well worth the peace of mind. The home had mold growth inside the basement which we believed was the result of water settling around the foundation. The grading they did came out wonderfully and the sod they laid looked beautiful. It totally transformed our backyard. We want to have them back in a few years to work their magic on some other areas of the yard that need attention. Though Turf Center is expensive, their work was wonderful and completely very quickly. And it was great to have such a wide range of problems solved by one contractor."

"State of the Art Landscape always seems to do the service whenever we have asked them do. Their bills are clear. When I have asked them questions about their bill, they have been helpful and responsive. They clean up after their service. I’ve no complaints about that. Their punctuality is good. For the lawn treatment, they seem to give me feedback about steps that I need to take. I feel like they are being proactive on the lawn treatment to help improve the situation. However, for the bed maintenance work, all I got is just the service. I would have enjoyed some advice on what should be done to make the plants healthier and what should be done to improve the aesthetic appearance of our yard. I wasn’t really satisfied with things improving on the bed maintenance part of their work. They just kind of did what they did. I just never felt like things were looking better."
