"We had Aire Serv dispatched by our AHS home warranty to fix an AC problem. Our condenser unit outdoors was dead. Wed already had this diagnosed and knew what was involved. They said it was covered, but that we would need almost $1000 worth of not covered modifications to wiring and duct work . That made no sense. We confirmed with the original company and then contacted AHS. In the interim, Aire Serv called and said they had the unit and needed to complete the repairs within a week as per the warranty policy. Of course that turned out to be a lie. AHS suggested that they would have another company look at it. Aire Serv called again demanding that the repair be completed. When they were told that a second company would be looking at the project on behalf of AHS, they flipped and said they were out. As expected, the second repair firm confirmed that their estimate was fraudulent. Avoid them at all costs."

"Horrific! I called this company based on Angie List reviews as I'd just moved here and the water heater went out after just a couple days. They made an appointment to come at noon yesterday. They didn't show up, so I called after a while. They first said an appointment was never made, but then realized it was cancelled because my name didn't match the assessor's website (I just closed on the house within a week). They tried to say the soonest they could come back would be the next day. I told them I'd already taken half a day off to meet them and wouldn't make another day available, so then they were able to find availability. A guy came out and quoted me $1927 for a water heater. He was professional and was the only highlight of this company. I explained that seemed a bit much for a water heater, and asked if there were cheaper options through them. He said no, their water heaters have their name on them and that there are no cheaper options available. So I went to Home Depot and was able to find a water heater fitting my needs for around $500. They were going to have a lead sent for delivery, install and haul away. It happens they use this same company...who said they don't have a cheaper model available. When they called to set up the appointment, I explained they had already quoted me $1900+ which is why I went to Home Depot. She said then that would be the price, even though it was a model that was only $500. This company is a joke and I regret wasting any of my time on them. Unless you have tons of cash to throw away, I wouldn't recommend even calling them."

"We called Aire Serv out as our AC line was freezing and the air was not coming out cold. The tech who came out told us we need a new evaporator coil, and we have rust in the unit also. We asked what we could do in the meantime so we could stay in the house, he said he could put refrigerant in but we shouldn't cause it's expensive and it would just leak out. We decided to put it in anyway and see if we made it til the new coil got here. We were then informed that the cost of the coil and labor would be $1900 out of pocket and that was after the home warranty. We decided to get a second opinion (our AC was still working fine after three days). We had Elite come out and the tech informed us that there was a small leak in the coil, it didn't need replacing, just tightening and there was no rust. I run a dog sitting business out of my home and I had to cancel dogs for this week because I didn't know if the air would be working. They also charged $389 for 3lbs of refrigerant. I would find a different company, they do not care for customers at all!"
