Customers say: Quality work

"James and crew demolished an old crummy slate sidewalk and poured a nice clean concrete one. We talked about the design and shape of it and James was very accommodating to what I wanted. I am not a trusting person when it comes to contractors, but James earned my trust. I scratched the year in the setting concrete, and my homage to the company that poured it (photo below). I will surely hire Rock Solid again."

"At times there were some communication issues, but overall Wilson did a good job and was attentive/repsonsive whenever an issue was raised and brought to his attention. I cannot say that we would hire again..ONLY because this a Board decision and I am not a voting member of the Board. (I answered yes, as this is the only way to submit the review)"

"LI Waterproofing had done extensive work in my basement for the previous owner, so I opted to give them a try myself to resolve new problems that had not been previously addressed. John and his men were responsive and professional.  The work was done as expected and in a reasonable amount of time.  The price was right for the scope of the work requested.  Hand digging was required to expose the foundation outside.  I opted to remove the plants in my garden bed myself before the work was done.  I'm glad I did so. The men worked around the one larger hydrangea I did not move, and it was pretty roughed up during the process.  (I cut back the broken branches that were covered with tar, and I think it will be OK.)  We have had one good rain since the work was done, and the repaired areas in the basement show no signs of dampness.  So I am hopeful.  My sole criticism of the work is that clean-up could have been done better.  Gravel used to fill the window well was spilled into the adjacent garden bed on top of plants.  I spent about 2 hours sorting that out and sweeping the porch and basement where dirt and cement were left. <br />"

"These guys are just fantastic!! (And we’ve used a lot of contractors) Our project manager Gary explained the proposed work clearly, priced it extremely fairly and his crew executed the work in an efficient, professional and excellent manner. They needed to remove part of our deck to do the work but they reassembled it so perfectly you would never know it was touched! As promised, when they left you wouldn’t know any work was done except that our basement is now completely dry! If you need any such work done, definitely call Casabella!! You won’t be disappointed !"

"I recently had the distinct pleasure of doing business with Cristhian of Limitless Golden Construction. The job he was hired for was a 5,000 square foot driveway that needed to be completely removed and all new item 4 added. Prior to the purchase of the home the driveway was neglected and fell into the current state. In addition to the driveway repair it also required proper drains installed because of the neighboring property being elevated above the driveway resulting in water runoff causing more damage over time. Once he evaluated our needs he developed a plan of how he would repair the driveway and address the drainage problem. From the beginning to the end of the project he kept us well informed of the process providing verbal and photographic updates the entire time. His crew is an extension of his professionalism, always on time, hardworking and impeccable cleanliness. When considering your paving and drainage needs look no further than Limitless Golden Construction."

FAQs for concrete foundation installation projects in Briarcliff Manor, NY

A concrete footer is a relatively shallow column of concrete that sits below your foundation walls. Footers spread wider than the foundation, so they can support a higher amount of weight in critical spots, such as below walls. The exact dimensions of footers depend on the home, so larger structures need a larger footing.

To calculate footing size, you need to know the minimum width and depth for houses in your region. Multiplying the width by the linear footprint of the structure will give you the size in linear feet.

To convert linear feet into square feet, you can divide the width by 12. For example, an 18-inch footer is 1.5 square feet per linear foot. Multiply this number by the total in linear feet to get the answer in square feet.

Installing a pier and beam foundation costs $5 per square foot, or $8,000 to $15,000. This style is standard in homes built before the 1960s or those in flood-prone areas.

Concrete weight support ranges from 1,500 to 6,500 pounds per square inch, and footings need at least 3,500 to 4,500 pounds per square inch. Remember that your soil type, climate, and materials used will significantly affect how much weight your footings can hold, especially in certain areas.

It costs between $1,600 and $3,200 to pour a 20-by-20-foot concrete slab. These estimates are based on an average cost to pour a concrete slab of $4 to $8 per square foot. Be sure to discuss the specifics with a pro—they’ll give you an estimate of how much you can expect.

The cost to raise a house is between $3,200 and $10,000. This range refers to a form of repair that involves lifting the entire house to potentially remove the old foundation and build a new one or add to an existing one.
