"John is professional, flexible, timely and honest! We originally purchased a tune-up package through Angie’s List. John arrived on time and listened to our concerns and suggested to tune-up or replace. We considered replacing “down the road.” John happily oiled our tracks, adjusted the springs and gave us new door info. Almost a year later, we called John to replaced our garage door, all hardware and a new Lock Master 8500 garage door opener that uses a deadbolt for added security. John arrived on-time, installed exactly as promised and said that he would come back in about a year to ensure all is working properly. If we have any questions or concerns, to give him a call. "Charles and team are amazing! This is the second time we've worked with him, and he didn't disappoint. We needed to do a major renovation of our kitchen to accommodate family members with disabilities. We had fairly specific design requirements, which involved raising the ceiling, adding structural support to one wall to create an archway, and adding another wall to allow for more cabinet space. After signing the contract with Charles, we realized we also needed to have our entire plumbing infrastructure replaced because of rusty pipes. We scheduled the plumbing work to happen before the kitchen project began so it wouldn't be an issue with the new appliances. The plumbing work left us with holes in the drywall in several rooms, plus a bathroom that needed to be gutted and rebuilt. Charles was amenable to adding the bathroom remodel to the kitchen contract--and we were amazed at how he was able to fit all of the additional bathroom work into the original kitchen schedule. Work finished on the exact date he'd targeted. He was also very accommodating of us in several other instances where we basically grew the scope of the project as it progressed. We are thrilled with the results and are planning to have him do a couple of smaller projects once we get our kitchen unpacked. Charles has two major strengths as a contractor that have made us want to hire him multiple times. The first is that he is an excellent craftsman. He is able to think through complicated designs and then execute them impeccably. The second is that he stays on top of every detail of the project and runs it like clockwork. Once work starts, he doesn't stop until it's done. His subs clearly value working with him; they show up exactly when they are supposed to and keep at it in order to finish in time for the next phase of work. Even when Charles isn't on-site while subs are working, he knows the exact status of their progress and keeps things moving until everything is finished. Charles is often booked out several months, but he is worth the wait!"

Our biggest, turning a bedroom into an inside outside room with sliding glass door and stairs into our backyard went great. We love it. And they did it in less than a week! They are also more than willing to do small fixes like a broken screen door or a kitchen door that won't quite close. They are the "unicorn" of the contracting world. "It turned out fine. The price was reasonable. There was no additional cost. He seem like a real nice guy and listens to us and we haven't really even got a chance to look over the designs much in depth yet, but they seem to kind of what we were looking for in terms of change. We are not sure if we are going to move forward with it or use him as our person to do the work, but I feel like we got what we paid for. He is very  responsive.

"Ken and his crew are great to work with. I maintain my parents' rental home, and have had Ken's paint the entire interior when they had originally purchased the home and then four years later I had them paint the exterior, pressure wash the driveway and wash and seal the two wooden decks. His bids always come in very competitive and they do high quality work.

My latest job was a small one, but I had Ken's paint my doors (front and back, interior and exterior) which had been very scuffed up and were driving me crazy. Ken came to match the paint for the interior since I didn't know the color of white. His crew removed the doors and hardware, filled and sanded the doors, primed and painted them. They made sure that the paint edges of the old hardware were good and sanded because I was having new hardware that had different dimensions put in and I didn't want to see the old outline when it was done. He rehung them and my doors and the trim look fabulous!!!!

When I hadn't come home by the time his worker was done, Ken waited outside of my house for 1/2 hour until I rolled in since he didn't want to leave the house unattended! Since the doors were still a tad wet, he had gone ahead and put in the dead bolt loosely I could at least lock it up at night. He had also offered to put in the new hardware the next day, but I didn't want to bother him with that as I thought that was going way above and beyond!
