"Completely rebuilt our 26-year-old wood burning mason fireplace to bring it up to code. In the firebox completely removed fire brick from back and both side walls. completely removed clay flue and replaced with insulated stainless steel. This included adding a lever operated lock top damper and stainless-steel exterior flue cap. Much time was spent adding chamber tech 2000 parge coating to the smoke chamber. Kevon and his two workers were excellent. All details on steps being taken were clearly explained. All carpeting was protected from the front door to the work area in the family room. All debris was removed from the job site. This was a big job that took two days to complete. Am following the recommended wait time and break in steps to be taken. It is comforting to know that we have a completely safe fireplace that is up to code. Looking forward on having Doctor Flue perform annual chimney sweeps during the off season. "It went very well. I contacted B-Dry and I was able to set up an appointment for an estimate very easily. While setting up the appointment, they let me know they had done a similar repair on the house back in 2001 (two owners ago), and that repair has held up to time. I scheduled the appoinment, they showed up on-time and completed the repair of the new crack that was letting water in. They also threw in chipping out some 'honeycombing' in the foundation that would very rarely let a trickle of water into the basement at no extra charge. While it hasn't rained yet since they repaired of the new crack, given that the 2001 repair hasn't given me any issues, I'm very confident that the new repair will hold up well. Overall, they did a great job!"

"Overall I was extremely pleased and satisfied with the outcome. From a construction standpoint, everything was completed as requested. The quality of work was excellent and timely. The work was done in the winter months and the crew and work-site were kept very clean. The outcome was excellent and the addition turned out beautiful. <br /> But what made the most difference was Gary Harms himself. Unlike most builders, Gary is very customer focused and detailed orientated. He keeps you informed every step of the way so you don't have to wonder what is being done. With Gary you don't have to worry about what is going on, he will make sure you are informed, and most importantly, happy! He also did a lot of "custom" work that he suggested and all of it turned out fantastic. "For the first time in years my basement is totally dry after a rainstorm!   What a relief!  After hearing horror stories about digging up foundations and incredibly expensive repairs, I finally got it done.  It turned out to be simple and at $500. affordable. The guy came and injected the crack with a (urethane?) foam.  It oozed out and sealed everything up.  The guy was neat and tidy and finished it up really well. If I painted it you'd never know there was a crack.  Thanks Guys!  I am super pleased!"

"I contracted Marc Todd himself and set up appointment for him to come over to measure and view the proposed project to provide me with an estimate. It was a little confusing at first, as he has a brother doing business as Jeff Todd Concrete. <br /> Marc Todd was very prompt, and came out the very next day after I made contact. I was very comfortable with him right from the first meeting. He was very kind, professional and just plain and simple, A VERY NICE MAN !! He listened well to what I wanted to achieve as far as an end result which also included troubleshooting an ongoing water problem. This water problem had not been solved by our last concrete contractor. Marc was very much more knowledgeable, and seemed to effortlessly troubleshoot and ultimately FIX the water problem. <br /> I asked him for references of prior jobs, and he gladly took me right to the places of other concrete pours that he had done. I was extremely impressed with not only the amount of concrete work he had poured in my area and the excellent looking work he had preformed, but was most impressed with how well liked he was by his previous customers. All of them greeted him like he was a longtime friend or family member. I knew when you have that kind of rapport with people you can't go wrong. And I was right as I am now one of his satisfied customers that truly look forward to running into him and getting a chance to visit. <br /> I had four estimates done all together, and his was not the cheapest , but it was no the most expensive either. His price was within reason when compared to the others. I feel that I actually got a much better job than I would have going with someone else for sure. You get what you pay for and in this case I feel like I got a bit more. <br /> He did an <strong><em>excellent</em></strong> job on my project and more. It is gorgeous. He actually came up with a few better design solutions than I originally had planned. AND NO MORE WATER PROBLEM. He stayed within in his original estimate, even though he made a upgraded change that would be better for my situation. He completed the work on time as well and worked hard at "fitting me into his schedule" as I had a party planned that I needed it completed by. He was TERRIFIC to work with. The best contractor I have EVER done business with actually. By the time he finished his job our whole family just loved him !! A GREAT PERSON that really cares !! <br /> I will be using him again next summer for another project we are now planning. I have recommended him since to some friends of mine, and they are just as pleased with their whole experience and with MARC TODD CONCRETE AND MARC TODD AS WELL. I recommend him 100% and I am a very "fussy" customer to please. <br />"

"They arrived on time and did a thorough inspection. But I was very disappointed in a few things. One, they asked me for a match to light the pilot. I had one match in the house. Seemed odd they would come without matches when they are inspecting a fireplace. Later, one of the employees had a box of matches in his hand. Was he too lazy earlier when he asked for one and did not want to go to his car to get his matches? I don't know, but that was a put off. Two, they could not find the switch for the fan. It was on the wall next to the fireplace. I cannot believe I was disturbed from getting ready for work to show them a switch on the wall next to fireplace. Three, they could not get the fan to work. I had to ask them if they checked the fuse box to see if it was turned off. Of course it was. These, to me are simple steps and troubleshooting measures that any person coming to the home would know to do. If they cannot figure out simple things like these, it makes me feel uncomfortable. <br /> To pay $189 for a gas fireplace inspection for a fireplace that does not produce heat and is for show only seems really high to me. I am more disappointed because I have had them come out before and do work and in the past were very professional and did an excellent job. I was disappointed this time. I am not sure if I would use them or not in the future. I marked yes because there is not an unsure option. <br />"
