Bug Johnson, on the other hand, said i did (they said they saw termites fighting with the ants). after the floor was dug up, no evidence of termites. "I was recommended to this home inspection company by my real estate agent. The inspection, as per their website, is "guaranteed" for 120 days. Well, the inspector (Chris H.) in his report stated that I had a working 240V outlet for the dryer. He even inspected the power panel and put a picture in the report. After I moved in, I plugged my electric dryer in, and found that there was no power to the outlet. I then inspected the panel myself, only to find that there was no breaker for the dryer outlet. When I brought this to his attention, he stated that he will "take a look at it sometime this week," to see if he is responsible.
I asked if he tested the ONLY 240v outlet in the house, and his explanation was that he couldn't get to it. I then asked why, when he opened the panel, did he not see that the breaker wasn't there for it, and he stated, "I looked at the panel first, how could I know?" This is totally unacceptable.
It also states on the website, that the customer has the right to hire his own electrican to do a repair "so you have control for a speedy repair." I stated this to him, and they said they have to hire the electrician or else the cost goes to me. Honestly, these people say they care about their customers, but when they are called out, all you get is pushback.
