"My table was not level after another carpenter changed my table legs. He assessed the cause, and quickly fixed the problem. I’m so happy to have a stable table. I was so impressed that I have already asked him to make a custom table for my plants."

"Antonio, at Greenovative, was great. I really enjoyed his professionalism. He and his crew found creative ways to decrease the price of the project. We are happy we gave Greenovative this project. Honestly, we will use them again."

"My mother's washing machine hose broke causing massive flooding in her kitchen, hallway & basement. The basement's ceiling was on the floor. This company was one suggested by the condo's insurance. (It was not their responsibility, but they were nice enough to send a list)  We worked with Mitch Kaufman. Everything went SO smoothly. The arrived @ about 8AM & worked until 3:30PM with a 1/2 hunch. Very fast & VERY efficient!! The basement looked better than before the mess!  <br /> Mitch hooked us up with a flooring company & had his men schedule their work around them. <br /> All in all, what was a VERY stressful series of events for my 88 yr old mother, was handled smoothly. She is extremely pleased with the outcome & would fully recommend R & N. <br /> <br />"

"Greg responded to my contact immediately. I needed to have my storage unit emptied and have everything brought to my new residence on very short notice. Four days later the job was not only done, but done quickly, yet with great care and in a very pleasant manner. Gregory was not only early and very professional, he cleaned up at both sites and communicated quite well. Additionally, his prices were very reasonable. I plan to use his services again, and have all ready recommended him to a friend for plumbing installation and repair. What a great find!! The photos show the storage unit before, and then one of after he moved everything into my home."

"This company is certainly in a class of their own! Having only heard of them the day before we met for an estimate, I clearly did not know the level of professionalism, honesty, and expertise they were about to present my family with would be “Out Of This World!’ To make my experience with them even more unique, was the fact “Turn Key Inc.” would be left for the entire 5 week renovation process to themselves while I was 100’s of miles away- talk about never before seen accountability and integrity. To begin, after initially receiving a second quote from another contractor (who raised his price by almost $20,000 plus wanted me to purchase all of the cabinets in the kitchen as well as both bathrooms when it came time to start the project) I was left between a rock and a hard place as I just flew into NY to put a down payment down and watch the work begin before I was to fly back home the next day. That’s when a mutual friend of mine told me to immediately give Mr. Lance a call. Despite already having a hectic schedule, Mr. Lance assured me that he would be able to squeeze me into his schedule the following day for a thorough estimate. Unlike the nearly 3 hours it took for the previous guy to go through the house a second time then raise up his price, Mr. Lance and his Lead Foreman- Mr. Jose walked me through the entire house in about an hour (actually taking measurements- unlike the previous scammer) and had an estimate a few hours later. To paint a picture of how honest Mr. Lance and his team are, I shared everything about my experience with the other contractor with them- ideas as well as cost. Mr. Lance and Mr. Jose took probably 2 ideas that I mentioned the other guy said should be done and still kept their price ten’s of thousands of dollars well below what the other Joker mentioned- and all cabinets would be included. Even in cases where I was not sure if certain things needed to be done, Mr. Jose was quick to say- “No, that is not needed or you will be wasting your money doing that, etc.” Whereas 9 times out of 10, someone else would have been telling me “Yes” do that- and in their mind they would say- “He is a fool, we are gonna take him for every penny.” Wasting no time in getting this crew started, I was amazed at how fast and proficient they were moving along. I received weekly pictures and updates. I also was notified immediately if they had any delays due to inclement weather and never had a problem corresponding with them. If what I have said has not left you already in awe, check this out. I would even get updates on what they felt would add more gumption to the renovation and this would be at no charge to myself. You mean, there is a company out there that is willing to take some of their extra or purchased material and use it on my behalf and free of charge- “Out Of This World.” As it would turn out, those in some cases minute upgrades- such as adding USB ports in all wall sockets on the first floor, is what really took the value of our house to another level. At our first of two open houses, approximately 100 people showed up which blew our neighbors minds. Had it not been for our realtor promising a few more people he would show them the property the following week, there would have been no need for a second showing. Dozens of offers immediately came in from the onset of the first showing- all offering well over the asking price. In closing, based on the unanimous feedback received by those who attended the open houses and the estimated value of the house raising by almost $30,000 during the renovation process, it is clearly evident that we were blessed with “Turn Key’s” expertise and presence. Having served our Country in the Active Duty Army for 13 years and reaching the level of Master Sergeant (E-8), it is truly refreshing to see that there are others out there that genuinely care about one another."

FAQs for remodel to accommodate a disability projects in Bronx, NY

Standard Medicare coverage often doesn't extend to home modifications, such as roll-in showers. In specific circumstances where medical necessity is clearly established, limited coverage might be available through certain Medicare programs. Many homeowners explore alternative funding sources such as home modification grants, veterans' benefits, or specialized financing programs designed for accessibility improvements. Consulting with a Medicare representative about your specific situation provides the most accurate guidance.

Roll-in showers deliver significant benefits beyond their monetary return, particularly in terms of safety, independence, and long-term accessibility. By eliminating barriers to bathing, these installations help prevent falls while accommodating mobility devices, such as wheelchairs or walkers. Their open design creates a contemporary appearance that appeals to many homebuyers. For households planning to age in place or accommodate family members with mobility challenges, the functional advantages often outweigh pure financial considerations.

A standard roll-in shower installation takes two to four days. Projects requiring extensive renovation or plumbing changes may take longer, potentially extending to several weeks or months. Factors affecting the timeline include existing bathroom configuration, permit processing times, contractor availability, and material delivery schedules. Creating proper drainage slopes often requires additional preparation time compared to traditional shower installations, particularly when modifying existing floor structures.
