"Wow! Muhhammad was excellent. He was early every day, very respectful, listened to what I wanted exactly. He did a phenomenal job on my stucco paint, installed beautiful stone, added a layer to my fence that was exposed, and painted my doors very nice. He cleaned up the work that he did after the job. I would recommend him and my neighbors are very impressed. I am hiring him again. Thank you Muhhamad for transforming our home."

Customers say: Quality work

"I hired Steve and Sonâ s to install siding and windows in my home. I am so very happy I did. I felt his estimate was very fair for the work I needed done. His men were professional, friendly and meticulous. Steve was there if I had any questions or concerns and was quick to resolve them. I was so satisfied with the work, I hired Steve and his crew to renovate my bathroom. I would definitely recommend using Steve and Sonâ s for your contracting needs."

Customers say: Terrific value

"The services provided were acceptable and they were very efficient. Very friendly and good to work with. We had 5 spaces painted. Overall cost was on par with other quotes we received, but we chose them based on timing. While we were not under a deadline, we did want to get things completed ASAP and they were able to deliver. They even took care of a smaller side project for me as part of the scope and that was greatly appreciated. I do, however, have to comment on some of the quality issues. Some of these I pointed out at the time, but were not fully addressed upon completion. Generally, there was a sloppiness: some missed or light paint spots need touch-up; edges were not as straight as expected; bleed-through under taped areas; light switches painted; outlets painted over; and paint spots on wood floor. I am pretty forgiving of many items, but I have to remark on these because they are items that I avoid when I do the painting myself. UPDATE: We discovered more paint marks on the floors. This is really sloppy and we will likely need to have floors refinished."

"We had some leaks on the roof \ chimney, as well as some cracks on the back wall stucco. NY Metro not only have us a reasonable quote from the beginning, they communicated well and did great work. It is so hard finding good GCs in NYC, I would definitely use NY again."

"We recently had the pleasure of hiring MKGS Contracting for the second time to complete the brick pointing work for our home, and once again, they exceeded our expectations. Their expertise was evident not only in the pointing but also in the additional concrete work they undertook, which was executed with meticulous attention to detail. The entire project was completed in a remarkably short timeframe, yet the quality was never compromised. Aside from their superior craftsmanship, the cost of the work was exceedingly competitive, especially when compared to the other quotes we received. This combination of affordability and excellence in service is rare to find. We are exceedingly thankful for the care and professionalism in the job done. If you're seeking a reliable, skilled contractor for brick pointing or concrete work, look no further. We fully recommend MKGS Contracting."

"Brayan, Mario, and the entire Gomez Stucco team have done several projects for us over the years, and every time they’ve shown the same honesty, clear communication, and genuine care for their work. On this recent job, they once again kept us updated, arrived when promised, and treated our home with respect. Their attention to detail and quality of craftsmanship have been consistent from project to project, and the results always turn out even better than we expect. We truly appreciate their reliability and positive attitude, and it’s why we continue to call them back for our stucco needs."

FAQs for traditional stucco repair or partially replace projects in Bronx, NY

Minor stucco fixes—like sealing small cracks or adding fresh caulk—often wrap up in an hour or two. Larger jobs that call for cutting out damaged sections, installing new lath, and layering fresh stucco can stretch to three or four days because each coat needs time to cure. A pro removes loose material, cleans and dampens the area, applies a bonding agent, and builds up new layers, matching texture and restoring the wall’s weather shield.

Watch for a stucco surface that stays damp days after a storm, develops dark stains, or feels soft or spongy under light pressure. Inside, moisture rings, peeling paint, or soft drywall around windows point to the same issue. Any of these red flags mean water is trapped behind the siding, and it’s time to call a stucco pro before rot or mold sets in.

Give your stucco a once-over every spring and fall. Semiannual checks let you catch hairline cracks, stains, or damp spots before they snowball into pricey repairs. Keep a flashlight handy, look closely around windows and doors, and call a pro if you notice anything soft or discolored. Staying ahead of minor issues protects both your curb appeal and your home’s weather barrier.

A pro starts by scraping away loose material, then cleans and lightly wets the area so new stucco will stick. After brushing on a bonding agent, they build fresh layers, letting each coat cure before adding the next. The final step is matching the texture and color so the patch blends in and the wall regains full weather protection.

Think of repair as a patch: the pro fixes only the visible crack or hole. Remediation goes deeper—crews strip away the compromised stucco, correct the root problem (often water or mold), then rebuild the wall. If tests show structural rot or trapped moisture, remediation is the safer, longer-lasting route; otherwise, a straightforward repair often does the trick.
