"Initial rep was great and informative. Felt comfortable with initial sale. Hardly had any contact from customer service except for the payments. There were several delays that we were not informed about unless we called to ask. Took 7 months before they showed up to begin project. Only 1 person was sent to build steps. Took a week. Hard worked, hardly took a break. Had to call again to see when they would come to pour patio. Never knew when they were coming, they just showed up. Hardly spoke with the homeowners. Inspection paperwork was just left on porch. Additional paperwork that is "required by the County" had to be completed by homeowner and taken to Court house to be notarized and filed and also provide a copy back to Long Fence. Time sensitive materials which added to homeowners to-do list. Gave this contract to LF on the surface of their history and appearance of a 'good local company' but should have stayed with original contactors in VA. Puddle of water forms when it rains"

"Shawn and John of CEB designed and built the shower in our master bathroom. Once it was completed, it looked great! Shawn was very responsive and patient with us during the interview, design, and building process. Both he and the main builder, John, allowed us to be part of the decision-making at every step during the installation. This project was not without its issues. On the 3rd day of the project (after the water lines were installed) one of the pipes separated in the middle of the night and water began to pour out of the pipe, behind the concrete wallboard, and flood the ceiling above our kitchen. Water began running from our recessed lighting in the kitchen ceiling, onto the counters, and down to the floor. Luckily we woke up and shut off the main water valve in the basement! We immediately called Shawn (at 3am) and both he and John were there within 30 minutes to assess the problem, fix the pipe, and start the repair on the kitchen ceiling. Our comment then (and still remains) is that accidents happen; what is important is how you handle the situation. In our opinion, we feel Shawn and John did much more than I believe most contractors would have done in that situation. They were apologetic and they repaired the area on the ceiling, to include re-painting, and offered to install our new kitchen sink faucet and garbage disposal as repayment for our inconvenience. When the job was finished, we had an issue with water leaking underneath the door during the first shower. Shawn and John came back the next day and fixed the tilt on the curb underneath the door, correcting the problem. Once complete, Shawn was very thorough going over the detail work, spotting areas needing attention, and correcting any issues. His attention to detail was much appreciated! CEB’s strengths are the ability to design a project collaboratively with the client, knowledge of design and aesthetics, use of high-grade materials, response to issues and customer desires or concerns, and communication. The workmanship is very good and once completed and inspected, I expect you will be happy with the product! We highly recommend CEB for any remodeling project you may have!"

Therefore, I am writing another review. I had some issues, but the issues were all satisfactorily resolved. The problems were mostly miscommunications between the owner and myself. The follow-up work that was completed by Donovan contractors was done in a professional manner."
