"Trimming was fine. Two trees were removed and I was told the stumps were removed also. Landscapers just tried to plant a new tree where one of the old ones was and guess what? The stump and roots were never removed! I am very upset! I can’t even level off the area and plant grass because the stump is higher than the lawn. I will not hire them again."

After meeting with several companies I felt that Gate City was the most professional and trustworthy. The trees that were removed were elevated from the street and far from the road. "Stephen removed a truck full of junk from our yard, from under our porch and from our basement. It included tree branches, old lumber, old doors and screens that had been stored in our basement by previous owners, and multiple cans of (latex) paint. We had been anxious to get rid of this stuff for years and worried that the price for collecting this debris and hauling it away would be prohibitive. We felt very fortunate to have discovered Stephen who was recommended to us by a close friend, who had used him repeatedly in the past. "Just moved into our house on Oct.  There were 5 big pine trees that were close enough to the house that they could do some damage if they fell.  Had three estimates and Eric was the best.  They were originally scheduled to do the work in early April, but the weather conspired against 2 appointments.  Finally had the trees removed on 5/12/14.  Eric and the guys did a great job!!
They put plywood under the crane wheels, removed the 5 trees, removed 2 other smaller bush/trees, chipped all the branches and left the yard as good as they found it.
I couldn't be happier with the people or the workmanship.
I would certainly use them again and I would recommend this company to anyone in need of tree removal.

He and his partner then did an excellent job cleaning all the windows on the second and third story of my house, some of which were old and difficult to deal with.
