"My house is on a little bit of a hill. Over the years, the retaining wall and brick columns lean out. I had just asked Franky to push it all back and repair the brick columns. This was incredibly difficult because of a concrete slab in one section and a large chunk of concrete attached to the bottom of the wall in another section. He had to repeatedly pushed and pushed on this wall until it was in the original position. After that, he drilled holes in the walls, the brick columns and the slabs, then inserted rebar and poured concrete to tie it all together. This was not part of what I asked him to do, but now, thanks to his hard work, this wall is probably 10 times stronger than it's ever been. In addition to that, in our sweeping up the area each day, I had pointed out a section of the sidewalk where one section was sticking up about an inch higher than the other, creating a big trip hazard. This was the city's responsibility, yet he took the time to do a very professional repair that I'm sure the city would be very impressed by. As I mentioned, this is one of the hardest working guys I've seen. You won't be disappointed by his work."

For the walkway, Sam even made an asphalt patch to the city sidewalk where the two met. Sam and his team were on time, worked neatly, cleaned up after the work was done. "Considering the scope and cost of this project, I spoke to four different masons to get their opinions and bids. In the end, John Screen stood out the best fit for the job, by far. He and his team were extremely experienced, professional, and punctual -- and they did an incredible job. They identified each of the headers and sills that needed replacing and carefully removed them, and poured and installed brand-new ones. They then tackled the front portico, which was a big concern for me -- the portico has some beautiful detail work, but one corner of it had completely fallen away. Frankly, I didn't think anyone could repair it in a way that wouldn't *look* like a repair. Yet, John rebuilt the missing corner, carving the matching detail by hand, and it looks as good as new with no signs of its past damage. Finally, the team painted all of the headers and sills (both new and old), the portico, and the decorative concrete "chair rail" that runs across the building with a special paint to protect the concrete and give the building a very cohesive look. They also took the time to repaint the wooden overhang at the very top of the building. What's more, even though this was not in their scope of work, they made some small repairs to brickwork on the back of the building where we had some contractors building a new porch, and spent a few days shoring-up some structural issues they noticed in the back, as well. The whole time, John was always in communication about what was going on and how the job was proceeding. If I had any questions, he was always a call or text away. In the end, the job looks fantastic and they stayed right within budget and right on schedule. With any luck, we won't need much masonry work for a while, but if we do, I will absolutely be calling John."

"Omar of Green Valley has been a gem of a find! Our brick patio is perfectly finished and leveled for appropriate water drainage. It’s a beautiful site. We always get compliments about it. Size is about 15x15. Omar and crew finished the job in about three days and he came back on the fourth day to make final touches and inspect that everything was in order. He also finished and painted our back stairs and doors. He patched up areas where the wood was cracked. It looks like new now and his pace of work was speedy too. I love that he always comes back the next day to tidy up and report on left over materials and checks in about satisfaction. In addition to Omar’s impeccable work he is also a lovely person that you’ll like having around. He’s a dedicated family man that has a kind a gentle disposition.
