What an absolute treasure it was to find Eddie of A&A General Construction, Inc. A team of 4 craftsmen demo’ed and then artfully reconstructed our 6 step brick front staircase with precision. The team was enthusiastic to make the most of a day’s work and simply did a spectacular job with our project. When it came time for the installation of the iron railings, imagine our surprise when the scroll pattern on the railing was matched to the existing pattern on the storm door - a delightful surprise and reminder of the attention to detail for Eddie and his team. Truth be told, we added on 2 additional projects as we needed help with a small scale cement work project on the sidewalk AND had the foundation of the house repaired, scraped and coated with a waterproof barrier. "I had a rather specific and somewhat specialized need for a backyard concrete patio. The project called for a roughly 14x16 ft slab, of 4" thick with wire mesh concrete - and most importantly the entire patio needed to be pitched toward a centered drywell, for proper drainage. For added trickiness, the backyard had no street access, other than through the house, so the concrete needed to be pumped in (which could get messy). I interviewed three contractors and found JGJ Home Improvement Corp. to be the best overall fit. They came in priced right and fully understood what I needed - without the typical (for whatever reason) inflated ego.  Luis started - THE NEXT DAY - and got the job done the same day, to exact specifications.  His team was professional, skilled and clean - and they thoroughly cleaned up after the job.  And most brilliant is that they hit the perfect pitch - The patio drains like a dream!... Beautiful.  Again, for me, it was essential that the contractor listened, understood and could act promptly, with a high degree of confidence and within my budget.
