"It is hard to give a review of someone that when they are complete feel like part of the family! As someone who used to work in the construction industry they are unbelievable professional and are there to help! They went above and beyond to make sure not only our roof replacement went well but made sure the little details were taken care of without coming back for most likely justified extra cost because they were already there. They are fair and explain everything very well. One observation that I had while they were here was the Owner Scott came by the jobsite. He knew all of the laborers by name and was bilingual to be able to communicate with his team. I think we should all support local businesses with leaders that treat their employees with respect and kindness. And it is obvious this leadership gets translated into their work. They are an amazing company and if I have a home improvement or need an emergency repair there isn't anyone else I will allow in my house after using Frey."

After calling on 10/2 to get update on when might do he ended up being able to do it yesterday or less than 4 weeks. "My home was built in 2004 with an asphalt roof. The area was always subjected to high winds and pieces of my asphalt roof were always breaking off after a few years. I live in a two story single home and frankly was getting tired and old of having to go on my roof and repair shingle panels. I looked at both asphalt and metal choices. The quotes on the asphalt would guarantee the product 25 years. This always sounds good but it would not guarantee minor shingle damage do to wind and weather. I started to investigate metal roofs and although I knew they were more expensive I also knew that it would last my lifetime and beyond. I did extensive research and made a lot of conclusions. My first piece of advice is DON'T go to your local Home Improvement store and seek out local contractors in your area that say they can do a metal roof installation but in reality never did one. There is a certain skill set involved. Secondly look at the quality of the product itself. In my case I wanted the thickest gauge and I wanted what was referred to as Standing Seam. I did not want exposed fasteners with rubber grommets that crack and could break loose in time. The company "Custom Construction Systems" gave me a honest quote which included a complete tear off and new underlayment installed. I definitely wanted that. Some of my neighbors that had lower end metal roofs installed it directly over their old asphalt roof. The product I got was true 24 gauge which is often used in industrial settings. Some of the products at the Home Improvement stores would actually add the paint thickness with the metal thickness. Keep this in mind! The advantages of metal over asphalt are hands down better. If you are environmentally concerned, metal roofing is 98% recyclable and is probably already being used from recycled metal. I was able to see homes and businesses that were done and the company and workers were very professional. My roof turned out beautiful. It was very affordable too for a high quality product and a team of workers that knew how to do metal roof installations. "Custom Construction Systems" also delt directly with the manufacturer of the product. This was a huge advantage in the cost of the project. If you do your own investigating like me you will soon find out that the manufacturers product cost is highly inflated by the distributer. Thanks for reading and good luck."

"It went very well. We had some issues with our roof leaking and couldn't find the source or correct the problem. It is an older roof with a few layers of shingles, but we can't afford to replace it quite yet. The owner and one of his employees stopped by and did a thorough inspection of the roof for us and found the main problem. They suggested a quick and dirty fix to immediately remedy the problem until we could afford to replace the roofing. Overall, helpful advice and a great job finding the issue.

"Again, this is in reference to the quote process. We have gone with another vendor for the roof replacement. Salesman was knowledgeable, prompt, and courteous. I think the information he gave about his product to be correct, and I believe his product is very good. The only information I might question is that he claimed his aluminum shingles have the highest fire rating, but this usually isn't the case since aluminum softens starting about 400F. None-the-less, I'm certain it is much more fire resistant than any conventional shingle. But the sales was low-key, high pressure. Very slick presentation. Stressed all the things wrong with the roof (said it needed replacement very soon and had lots of problems) as well as being complex. Multiple times talked about how heavy the existing shingles were (as if the roof wasn't designed for asphalt shingles). Gave a quote of about $60+K, but immediately offered 10% off if we maintain a sign on our front lawn for several weeks and another 10% if they could do the roof at their convenience, bring the cost to $50+K. If decking needed to be replaced, they'd do it for $75 per sheet in addition to the contract price. Finally, said the discounts were only good about 3 days. Seems like the $50K price is the real price, with a 10% extra for rush jobs. The salesman job seems to want to make an offer and try to get you to commit quick. At the beginning of the presentation, he even asked if we had already talked to other companies (we hadn't). Possibly if we had, he might have taken a different tact. Their web site has a "Sign up for a chance for a free roof". People that buy a roof from this company, are not only paying for their own roof, but for the company's PR as well. Bringing in other companies for quotes, we were told the roof is in good shape (should be replaced in the next few years), and that it would be simple installation. Other quotes came in at the $29K to $31K. Decking sheets were priced at $45 to $60. I seriously think Metal Roofing Systems will provide a good product, and professional installation. But be certain to do your own research and get a few quotes for your job."

"They were very responsive in providing a quotation for the gutter replacement and the price was competitive. They were very busy so there was a bit of a delay in completing the work. They advised they were 3-4 weeks out and the work was done 5-6 weeks after signing the contract. The workers were very professional and did high quality work, they were done in less than two days. We are pleased with the final product."
